CAUSES OF LOW SP£RM COUNT

Low sp£rm count, or oligosp£rmia, can be caused by a complex interplay of m£dical, lifestyle, and environmental factors.

Key m£dical causes include v@ricocele (a swelling of veins in the scr0tum), infections, hormonal imbalances, and issues with speπm delivery. Lifestyle choices play a significant role, with tob@cco, ma*****na, or alc0hol use, anabolic st£roids, severe stress, and 0besity all contributing to lower production.

Furthermore, environmental exposures to toxins, heavy m£tals, radiation, or excessive heat around the t£sticles can impair the body's ability to produce healthy sp£rm.

HOW MANY TIMES DOES THE ZYGOTE DIVIDES?

cj 💋

The zygote divides through mitosis, starting with 1 cell becoming 2, then 4, 8, and so on. Each round roughly doubles the cell count, but not all cells divide at the same pace later on.

To go from 1 cell to about 37 trillion, you need around 45 doublings in total (2⁴⁵ ≈ 35 trillion). However, the first several divisions happen synchronously; later, growth involves cell enlargement and differentiation too. So the commonly cited figure is about 40 to 42 divisions from f£rtilization to birth.

Why does my body keep rej£cting embryos?

Among the causes that can lead to embryonic impl@ntation failure are g£netic alterations in the embryo, namely, the egg or sp£rm. Additionally, some embryos may have disorders in the zona p£llucida, which hinders their ability to hatch and separate in the impl@ntation process.

Ovarian cysts and fibr0ids are two different types of growths that can occur in women's reproductive systems.

Here's a quick breakdown:

- Ov@rian cysts: Fluid-filled sacs that grow on or inside the ov@ries. They're usually benign and can be related to h0rmonal changes or other factors. Symptoms might include pelvic pain, bl0ating, or irregular p£riods.

- Fibro!ds (uterine fibroids): Growths of muscle tissue in the uterus wall. They're also usually benign and can cause symptoms like heavy periods, pelvic pressure, or inf£rtility issues.

Both can cause discomfort, but their locations and characteristics differ.

0vulation is the release of a mature egg from the o***y. Triggered by a surge in luteinizing h0rmone (LH) around the middle of the menstrual cycle, the ovarian f0llicle wall ruptures to expel the secondary oocyte (egg).

The fimbriae, finger-like projections at the end of the fall0pian tube, then sweep the egg into the tube, where it remains viable for f£rtilization for approximately 12 to 24 hours.

EVALUATING YOUR C£RVICAL FLUID

Cervical fluid protects the sp£rm and helps it move toward the uterus and fallopian tubes. Cervical fluid changes occur when the woman's body is getting ready to release an egg. There are clear differences in how it looks and feels during the woman's monthly m£nstrual cycle.

No c£rvical fluid is present during the m£nstrual period.

🍂After the period is over, the v@gina is dry and no cervical fluid is present.

🍂Fluid then turns to a sticky/rubbery fluid.

🍂The fluid becomes very w£t/creamy/white which indicates F£RTILE.

🍂The fluid becomes slipp£ry, stretchy, and clear like an egg white, which means VERY F£RTILE.

🍂After ovulation, the v@gina becomes dry again (no c£rvical fluid). The c£rvical mucu$ may become more like thick bubble gum.

FACTS ABOUT F£RTILITY

When trying to become pregnant, many couples plan interc0urse between days 11 to 14 of the woman's 28-day cycle. This is when 0vulation occurs.

It is hard to know exactly when 0vulation will happen. Health care providers recommend that couples who are trying to have a baby have s£x between days 7 and 20 of a woman's m£nstrual cycle. Day 1 is the first day of menstrual bleeding. In order to become pregnant, having s£x every other day or every third day works just as well as having s£x every day.

🍂Sp£rm can live inside a woman's body for less than 5 days.

🍂A released egg lives for less than 24 hours.

The highest pregnancy rates have been reported when the egg and sp£rm join together within 4 to 6 hours of 0vulation.

The egg lives for 12–24 hours, but because sp£rm can live for 3–5 days, the f£rtile window spans several days before and on the day of 0vulation.
