God Gives us Grace to Start Over
For a long time, I questioned whether or not I was worthy of God’s grace. I devoured article after article, hoping that someone would tell me that I was still a candidate for Christ’s forgiveness. I was leader at my church at the time, and I committed the most horrible sin (or so I thought), fornication. I became pregnant. I was not married. What would people say and think? Eventually, I lost the joy and the love I had for serving God in ministry. SHAME crept in. I knew there was no way that God would ever accept me now.
How many of you can relate to the idea of being held prisoner to your past? How many of you have allowed other people to keep you in bo***ge to your past? How many of you struggle with the following thoughts: God doesn’t love me. God will not forgive me for my sin(s). I am not good enough. I have to prove my worth and value to those around me. Will people stay once they found out who I really am?
This page is a result of my own journey of finding God’s grace. In searching the Scriptures for myself, I began to realize that YES- I am a candidate for forgiveness. YES- my sin was also nailed to the Cross with Jesus Christ. YES- I am worthy and redeemed because of God’s great love for me. YES- I can still fulfill the calling on my life to serve God and others.
My friend, I am so excited for you to join me on this journey. Perhaps, God is saying to you too, “It is for FREEDOM that I have set you free!” He will give you His GRACE to Start Over!
