I'm going to share with you something about how a company extracts elderberry and then I'll explain why I'm sharing it. (No YL doesn't sell elderberry).
Source: Nutraceutical World magazine December 2023 edition:
"In the study by Stich et al. (2022) an elderberry extract that was gently extracted with water retained certain polysaccharide components that were stripped away in an ethanol-extracted elderberry extract. (footnote 1). The result was that the elderberry extract containing the polysaccharides stimulated the maturation of dendritic cells (an indicator of immune stimulation) but the ethanol extract simply did not. Process matters. Ingredients matter.+
YL has been in business for 31 years as of this post. And for 31 years they have always used steam-distilled methods to extract the plant's beneficial properties. They never ever used ethanol for the very reasons you just read above in a third-party article that isn't even referencing YL. Steam distilled and the best ingredients really do matter, and they have always mattered to YL which is why I've taken and used their products for decades now and will always trust the company to provide my family and me only the best. Is the best always the cheapest? Rarely. You get what you pay for is a common quote, and in YL's case, true. For me, it's just like going out to eat. I don't mind paying extra when the dinner is excellent. It's even more important to me when using Essential oils and products that have essential oils in them.
In one such product I want to point out is YL's Ningixa Red. It's a fortified drink that is available in a glass bottle or little 2 oz packets that you can easily take with you to enjoy and benefit from when you're away from home. The main ingredient in Ningxia Red is the Ningxia wolfberry. Again, ingredients and processes matter. You can get woflberry's just about anywhere nowadays. But if you're anything like me, you want the best in nutritional value. The wolfberry YL uses comes from the region of Ningxia, China. Because of the fresh water, and the location and soil of these berries, it produces the best wolfberry there is. Besides the Ningxia Wolfberry, YL has combined some other ingredients and essential oils in it to make this drink synergetic. I've been drinking this drink for a very long time, and I actually stopped for a month recently and my body felt the difference. Once I resumed drinking Ningxia Red my whole body felt much better. I encourage you to try Ningxia Red for three months straight and feel for yourself the difference it can make.
