My favorite glyphosate-free oats!

If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know oats are one of those foods I’m a little picky about.

Not because oats are “bad.”
But because how they’re grown + processed today is… not so great.

Even many organic oats have been shown to contain glyphosate residue (yep — that w**d killer 🫠).

Why this matters 👇

Glyphosate can:
• disrupt the gut barrier
• impact beneficial bacteria
• increase intestinal permeability (“leaky gut”)
• potentially affect the blood-brain barrier

Basically… not something we want as a daily breakfast guest.

And since oats are often eaten often (hello overnight oats, granola, oat milk, oatmeal 🙋‍♀️), exposure can add up quietly over time.

Ya’ll - I am on a roll! 😻 Fall is my favorite time of year and it really does something positive to my soul and motivation.

I’ve been cooking my 💛out daily making easy and clean meals for the fam as well as moving my body intentionally- and I FEEL AMAZING!

I wanna share a favorite with you - High-Protein Waffles (totally kid friendly too!)

Nothing hits quite like these golden nuggets after a good sweat session. They’re packed with clean, whole-food ingredients that support muscle recovery and balance blood sugar — and they taste amazing!

Ingredients:
• ½ heaping cup glyphosate-free rolled oats
• ½ cup full fat grass-fed cottage cheese
• ½ cup egg whites 🥚
• Cinnamon to taste
• Splash of pure vanilla extract
• Dash of monk fruit sweetener

Blend it all together, pour into your waffle maker, and enjoy crispy-edged, protein-packed goodness.

Estimated Nutrition (entire batch):
🔥 Calories: ~260–280
💪 Protein: ~28–30 g
🌾 Carbs: ~22–25 g
🥑 Fat: ~6–7 g

Jarrett Annual Fermented Hot Sauce Time!

And it’s the 2nd harvest of peppers this year!! Gathered up the last of the hot peppers from the garden(s) and turning them into a batch of fermented hot sauce.

I tried to get a good pick of layering skills of cilantro, onion, garlic, and plenty of heat — she’s gonna be a hot batch 🥵

We’ve all heard it before—“Drink your milk if you want strong bones!” 🥛

Most people are shocked to learn that your bones are made of at least 12 different minerals—and calcium isn’t the star player everyone thinks it is. Magnesium, boron, silica, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, copper… all these minerals work together to keep your bones strong and healthy.

Yes—calcium does play a role in bone structure, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle.

Too much calcium—especially from supplements and food—can set you up for failure:
❌ Hardened tissues
❌ Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)
❌ Doesn’t fix the root cause of bone loss

And here’s the kicker—osteoporosis isn’t just a “calcium deficiency”… it’s also a hormonal issue.
💡 High estrogen can lower progesterone ( we see so much estrogen dominance due to endocrine disruptors found in various plastics, pesticides, personal care products and more! )
💡 Progesterone activates the cells that build bone.

Look at that batch of my homegrown oregano — it smells amazing! Now it’s time to dry it and keep that herbal goodness going all year long.

Oregano is one of my favorite herbs, and not just because it makes everything taste better (though it definitely does 🍝). Here’s why I love it:

🌿 It’s packed with antioxidants
🌿 A natural antibacterial and antiviral
🌿 Great for gut health and digestion
🌿 Can support the immune system, especially during cold + flu season

Lent Recipe Experimenting! ✨

I’ve been playing around with some fresh, light recipes for Lent, and this salad is officially a WINNER! 🏆🥗

It’s packed with peas, shredded carrots, red onion, fresh mint, fresh cilantro, and tossed in a bright lemon vinaigrette. Super simple, super fresh, and ridiculously good. 💚🍋
