Training That Lasts

Training That Lasts Dog Training - Redefining Relationships - A Canine Bond to Last a Lifetime Our approach is rooted in structure, clarity, and communication.

Training That Lasts is a relationship-based dog training company focused on obedience, behavior modification, puppy development, and long-term results. We work with dogs of all ages and behavior levels, from brand-new puppies to dogs with severe reactivity. We believe real training goes beyond teaching commands. It's about redefining how dogs and people live together. Training That Lasts offers pr

ivate lessons, board and train programs, and group classes. Every program is designed to strengthen the bond between dog and owner while building calm, confident leadership on the human side of the leash. We also specialize in dog nutrition, offering guidance on raw and homemade diets that support both physical and behavioral wellness. A dog’s gut health, energy, and clarity play a direct role in how they show up in training. We don’t believe in quick fixes or gimmicks. We focus on the work that matters, consistent structure, thoughtful communication, and building trust that holds up in the real world.

Everyone say hi to Rivers. She is an 11 week old Red Fox Labrador Retriever that will be with us for just over 3 weeks learning foundational obedience in our Puppy Board & Training Program.

Rivers came to us with the common concerns most puppy owners have. Nipping/mouthing, jumping on people, crate training, potty training, leash walking, sleeping through the night, zoomies in the house, etc.

Our goal in her stay is to teach her 9-14 verbal and non-verbal commands inside and outside of the house as well as car etiquette, leash etiquette, connection and predictability with her needs and behaviors.

Follow along for Rivers progress updates as she learns life with Training That Lasts

Say hello to Trooper and Trapper, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. They are brothers and I was recently given some new info about the breed that I thought was too interesting not to share.

It is said that the Red or Ruby Cavaliers like Trapper tend to be more independent and mischievous. While the Black and Tan Cavaliers like Trooper are described as more intense with their affectionate behavior. Having experienced these two boys, I believe this very much so aligns.

Have any of you experienced the same differences with other breeds and the subtle variations in temperament based on coat colors?

This is an opportunity to work with like-minded individuals in what I like to call a controlled-chaotic environment. The control is the like-minded individuals who have full confidence and control of their dogs in this group setting. The chaos is the sensory overload that we put on the dogs. We do this to not only poke at insecurities but also to build confidence within your connection as you are the only trust they know in these environments. This is a little play on reverse psychology to enhance the bond through trust and faith in all unpredictable environments.

Grab your tickets now there’s only a few left for tonight!

Honeybee would have never been able to do this a couple weeks ago! This is so amazing to see her progress so far in such a short period of time!

Not to mention Leo has come SOOO far with his composure as well as he never would have been able to handle this just a couple months ago.

Great job to both Honeybee and Leo, you both have amazed me with your progress!!!

Congratulations to 20 month old Honeybee for completing her second Board & Training program.

This time around her owner’s main concern was her abundance of joy and her inability to manage that around people as well as other dogs. So during her stay with us, we focused on proper socialization and desensitizing in public environments as well as at home.

Stay tuned for videos to come 😊

Bodhi came to us with some big challenges… jumping, nipping, leash pulling, and potty troubles. After just two weeks, he made amazing progress! Kosha’s kind words mean the world to us and we’re proud of her for putting in the work with Bodhi to build and strengthen their connection!

This right here, is one of the biggest reasons I pursued always being in public with dogs and still to this day consistently advocating for people to do more everyday life with their dogs. Dogs deserve it and people do as well!

People absolutely love seeing well behaved dogs!

Also it brightens the day of others and sometimes that’s just the little pick me up that others need ☺️
