Our NC community outreach team were BUSY bees this weekend 🐝💛 showing up, connecting, and supporting the families that make our work so meaningful.

Huge thank you to Special Olympics Stanly County for creating such an empowering space for athletes to shine, build confidence, and experience the joy of community through sport, and to the Autism Society of North Carolina for all the incredible work you do supporting individuals and families across our state.

The North Carolina Zoo is hosting Quiet Days at the Zoo designed for guests with sensory sensitivities.

✨ What to expect:
• Fewer crowds
• No loud music or announcements
• Free sensory bags (headphones, fidgets) at Guest Services & Kidzone
• Designated quiet areas throughout the zoo
• Sensory play in Kidzone (10 AM–2 PM)

(Happens every third Tuesday each month!)

This is a great opportunity for families who benefit from a calmer, more inclusive zoo experience. 💛🦓
