🚧 Big things are happening at Fairchild Medical Center’s Expansion project!

Over the past month, crews have made major progress, with interior wall framing nearly complete on Level 1 and quickly advancing on Level 2. The new first floor is taking shape with a spacious lobby and registration area, 8 treatment rooms, 2 dedicated trauma rooms, observation rooms, nurse stations, and staff support spaces.

Level 2 will feature a new expansive lab, offices, and flexible meeting spaces designed to support the future of healthcare in our community.

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are being installed rapidly, the final concrete pours are complete, and two staircases are now fully functional. Exterior framing is also underway, with exterior sheathing expected to begin later this month.

We’re excited to continue sharing progress as this transformational project moves forward for Siskiyou County! 🏥✨

🚨 Every Second Counts During a Stroke 🚨

For Stroke Awareness Month, we want to remind our community that recognizing the signs of a stroke, and acting FAST can save a life. The most important thing you can do if you suspect someone is having a stroke is CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. Do not drive yourself or a loved one to the hospital. Emergency responders can begin life saving care right away and get patients to the appropriate stroke center faster.

Know the signs of stroke using the BE FAST method:
🧠 Balance loss
👁️ Eyesight changes
🙂 Facial drooping
💪 Arm weakness
🗣️ Speech difficulty
⏰ Time to call 911

The Healthy Kids Fair is one of our favorite annual traditions at Fairchild Medical Center Foundation! 💙

Each year, local 3rd-grade students are invited to spend the day learning how to care for both their physical and mental health through fun, interactive sessions focused on:
