Wilbur is wet, but it is warm and cozy in my massage cabin. I got to work on three beautiful souls today, and then, right on cue, the clouds broke and I went up into the hills and watched the full moon rise.

Grateful for a break in the weather at Wilbur Hot Springs, which gave me the chance to get out into the woods. The weekend was slow, exactly what I needed—long hikes, wrote a song, and plenty of soaking until I was wrinkled like a prune.

On a cold evening, we gathered in the dining room for an intimate concert by the talented duo Honey of the Heart. Chef Liam made a delicious stew that we enjoyed during the performance—it was the perfect pairing for a chilly night.

My son turns 15 today. He is the kindest, smartest, toughest, most hard-working badass I’ve ever met. Having such an incredible heir is the greatest blessing a man could imagine. I love you kiddo, and I’m so proud.
