At the end of August, we had the privilege of attending an educational equine dissection. It was an incredible opportunity to deepen our understanding of anatomy and equine wellness. If youโd like to view photos or videos from the event, reach out and weโll be happy to add you to the group page!
Cushings, NEW Products, and Scheduling Reminder:
Cushings (PPID) Testing โ Prime Time
As we move into fall, hormone levels naturally rise in horses, which can influence the results of testing for Cushingโs (PPID), or other metabolic issues. Hereโs what that means for you:
- Fall is a great time to run baseline ACTH bloodwork
- During other times of the year, your vet may recommend a TRH-stimulation test, which avoids seasonal fluctuations.
- The key takeawayโfall is an important window for detecting early PPID, so talk with your vet about whether itโs the right time for your horse.
Seasonal Product Support- Our Favorites!
With the change of seasons, our horsesโ digestive systems can be put under extra stress.
-This is where Stable Mix G.I. Stable-Ez really shines. Not only does it promote overall gut health year-round, but it can be especially essential during seasonal transitions to keep digestion steady, support nutrient absorption, and most importantlyโhelp avoid the dreaded โCโ wordโฆ colic.
-We are also proud to be carrying a locally made and sourced equine CBD line. This all-natural line supports comfort, helps with inflammation, aids in pain relief, and even works to help regulate the nervous system. Best of all, we carry low-sugar options that are safe for our more sensitive friends!
-And donโt forgetโour K9 CBD line is now back on our Equine website, so your dogs can benefit from the same holistic support as your horses!
Scheduling & Client Reminder-
When it comes to hoof care, consistency is everything. We strongly recommend keeping horses on a 6โ8 week schedule for the sake of their hoof health and overall comfort.
We all know the saying: โNo hoof, no horse.โ Staying on track ensures balance, soundness, and long-term wellness. Weโre more than happy to work with you to stay on a regular cycle, and we deeply appreciate the many clients who make hoof health a top priority.
Please remember:
- We regularly stay booked 3โ4 weeks out
- We require 48-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling,
- Your cooperation helps us keep the calendar running smoothly and ensures every horse receives the care that they need and deserve.
We do our best to schedule your future appointment(s) at your appointments to ensure a date/time that works best for everyone. We understand things happen, but we appreciate your cooperation!
โค๏ธ Thank You!
We truly appreciate your trust in us. Hereโs to a healthy, happy fall season for you and your animals.
