I'm practicing gynecology and primary care at Axis Healthcare in Pryor, OK. While I enjoyed my sojourn in men's health and learned a lot, my primary calling is women's healthcare. Hormone therapy, infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss will be my practice specialties, and I will still be implanting InterStim neurostimulators for bladder and bowel problems for men and women. It is with great sadness that I report that Women's Health Center has now closed. While I appreciate those loyal patients who continued to make appointments on Saturday mornings, the no-show rate made continuing impossible. Solo practice in gynecology is a dying art. The overhead expenses with medical malpractice premiums, staff salary and supplies have made the past 6 & 1/2 years a losing proposition that I can no longer endure.

For those in the Tulsa area, and those not opposed to driving there, I am employed full-time by the Oklahoma Men's Clinic at 4415 S. Harvard Avenue. (918)895-9100. I will continue to provide hormone therapy to men and women there. For those who need medication renewal, consults for infertility, or gyn problems, I will also have telemedicine consults available on Thursday nights. 3 separate people contacted me yesterday about having difficulty getting through to Ann on my office phone. (405)272-7026. Apparently, BirthChoice in Edmond is having the same problem. (Makes me wonder if El Diablo is working overtime!) AT&T denies that there is a problem.

Just a reminder that we are still seeing patients at Gateway Express Testing in Yukon, OK at 6th and Main on Friday and Saturday mornings. We also have telemedicine appointments available on Thursday evenings between 5-8 pm. Our office phone has been a little unreliable, but we have been assured that the problem is now fixed.
