How can you help a friend or a loved one who's having trouble coping days, weeks, or even months after a ? Try checking in on them and encouraging them to reach out for help.

The national Disaster Distress Helpline is available 24/7/365 at 1-800-985-5990.

The helpline puts people in need of counseling on the path to recovery. When you call or text, crisis counselors listen to what’s on your mind with patience and without judgment. DDH is staffed by trained counselors from a network of crisis call centers located across the United States, who provide:

💙Crisis counseling for people in emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster
💙Information on how to recognize distress and its effects on individuals and families
💙Referrals to local crisis call centers for additional follow-up care and support
💙Healthy coping tips

It’s Mental Health Action Day—and we’re sending a huge shoutout to Giddy Up & Joe for partnering with us to spread awareness and encouragement one cup at a time! 💚

Their mobile coffee truck is set up outside the Noble County Health Department this morning til 11 with specially labeled “Brew Matter” sleeves and resources for the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line.

Thank you for helping us show that small actions—like sharing a coffee and a kind message—can make a BIG impact in su***de prevention.

This Thursday, join us for Brew Matter in recognition of Mental Health Action Day and Mental Health Month! 💚

Our Guernsey-Noble Su***de Prevention Coalition is partnering with Chapman's Coffee House - Caldwell, The Human Bean Cambridge, OH, and the Giddy Up & Joe coffee truck to share su***de prevention resources, encouraging messages, and Crisis Text Line info—all alongside your favorite coffee.

Materials will be available all morning at each location, so stop by, grab your drink of choice, and take a small action that could make a big difference in someone’s life. ☕️

P.S. Giddy Up and Joe will be parked in front of the Noble County Health Department in Caldwell.
