Today’s wine social brought residents and staff at Sterling Suites together to honor and say farewell to our Resident Care Coordinator, Brandie, as she embarks on her next journey. The room was filled with gratitude, smiles, and meaningful memories.

Brandie has touched many lives through her compassion, dedication, and genuine care for our residents. One especially touching moment came when our lovely Ruth even sang a song in her honor, making the farewell all the more memorable and emotional.

While we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly thankful for everything Brandie has given to our community. We wish her continued success and happiness in her next chapter — she will always be part of the Sterling family.

Our residents and staff were treated to a beautiful gift this week thanks to two of our very own residents! Miss Ruth filled the room with holiday melodies on her keyboard, while Carol added her lovely voice to bring the songs to life.

From classic Christmas favorites to joyful sing-alongs, the music created a warm, festive atmosphere that had everyone smiling, tapping their toes, and soaking in the spirit of the season.

Thank you, Miss Ruth and Carol, for sharing your talents and helping make the holidays at Sterling Suites even more special!

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the lounge watching the classic movie, A Christmas Carol, complete with freshly popped popcorn.

The soft glow of the Christmas tree, a familiar holiday film, and good company created a calm yet cheerful atmosphere that made the afternoon feel extra special.

Simple moments like these — shared together — are what make the season so meaningful at Sterling Suites.

Despite the poor weather, the holiday spirit shined bright at Sterling Suites as our Director of Community Engagement, Brittany, hosted a festive Community Breakfast with Santa. Santa didn’t let the weather stop him — and neither did our amazing community!

Guests joined our residents for a delicious waffle breakfast, mingling, laughing, and enjoying the sounds of Christmas music playing throughout the room, setting the perfect tone for a joyful morning together.

Santa wasn’t alone either — a few of his playful elves were spotted along the way, busy whispering plans for holiday shenanigans and spreading extra cheer throughout the room. Their mischief and merriment added even more smiles to an already joyful event.

Brittany, our Director of Community Engagement for Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites, recently delivered Bags of Love to the Muskingum County Center for Seniors, heartfelt holiday gift bags created for homebound seniors in our community.

For many, these bags will be the only gift they receive this season, and it filled our hearts with joy to pack them with care and holiday cheer.

This couldn’t have been possible without the support of two very special people — Kathy and her son Nick (also known as The Ohio Valley Couponer), the wife and son of our administrator. Their kindness, time, and enthusiasm truly helped bring this project to life.

We’re grateful for the chance to brighten the season for our local seniors. Thank you to everyone who helped make these Bags of Love possible!

Tapping Toes & Singing Songs: A Holiday with Barefoot McCoy!

Our residents enjoyed a truly joyful afternoon listening to Barefoot McCoy! From his folk-inspired tunes to favorite Christmas songs, the room was filled with singing, tapping toes, and plenty of smiles. Residents shared laughs, danced and sang along to familiar melodies, and even reminisced about their own cherished holiday memories.

Barefoot’s summers in Kentucky, walking the creeks barefoot and sharing music with friends, reminded many of our residents of their own childhood summers—proof that good music and happy memories truly span generations.

It was a heartwarming, festive performance that had everyone singing, smiling, and feeling the holiday spirit—truly a magical afternoon to remember!

Snowman Painting Fun at Sterling Suites!

Our residents got into the winter spirit this week by transforming simple clay pots into cute little snowman faces!

With painted button eyes, cheerful smiles, carrot noses, and plenty of creativity, each snowman turned out completely unique. The room was filled with laughter and conversation as everyone enjoyed bringing their frosty creations to life.

These charming snowman pots will be displayed throughout Sterling Suites — adding a touch of handmade winter joy to our community!

Thanksgiving at Cedar Hill & Sterling Suites

Thanksgiving looked a little different for our teams this year, but it was filled with just as much gratitude — and plenty of delicious food. Our incredible kitchen team prepared part of the meal, and our managers pitched in by making additional dishes to round out the feast.

While we weren’t all able to sit down together for one big meal, staff enjoyed their Thanksgiving plates in offices and breakrooms before heading back to care for our residents. It was a small moment of comfort and celebration in the middle of a busy day, and it meant a lot to everyone.

As always, we are grateful for our dedicated teams at Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites who show up every day with compassion and commitment. Even without a shared table, we celebrated with shared gratitude — and some very tasty food.
