A Big Thank You to Seals Flowers & Gifts!

Our residents were overjoyed when SEALS FLOWERS & GIFTS donated beautiful carnations to brighten their day! The delivery was made even sweeter by the adorable little flower girl helping to hand them out.

Though we didn’t get many pictures, the smiles and joy we saw were priceless. Small moments like these truly make our community shine. Thank you for making our residents feel so special!

A Heartfelt Thank You for a Beautiful First Annual Friendsgiving at Sterling Suites!

This weekend, we hosted our very first Friendsgiving, and it was everything we hoped it would be — and more. The turnout was amazing, and the room quickly filled with laughter, delicious food, and the joy of being together.

Residents, families, and staff each brought something to the table — literally! From homemade favorites to special dishes, everyone helped create a meal made with love. One thoughtful family even donated tables and chairs for the event, allowing us to create a warm, comfortable gathering space for the evening.

The celebration began with a heartfelt prayer, lovingly offered by a family member, setting a beautiful tone for an evening filled with gratitude and connection.
We are so thankful to everyone who shared this special night with us. Your kindness, support, and presence made our first Friendsgiving truly unforgettable.

Here’s to many more moments like this in the years to come!

Mixing Up Friendship at Sterling Suites!

When our residents requested homemade noodles for this year’s Friendsgiving celebration, our team was more than happy to make it happen! They rolled up their sleeves, mixed the dough by hand, and worked together to create noodles just like the ones they used to make at home.

The kitchen was full of laughter, conversation, and the wonderful aroma of freshly made dough — just like the good old days! The noodles turned out so popular that residents asked to do it again the next day… so we did! After all, you can never have too many noodles — or too much fun!

At Sterling Suites, it’s not just about sharing a meal — it’s about sharing memories, traditions, and friendship.

Lunch Outing to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store!

A few of our Sterling Suites residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon out for lunch at Cracker Barrel! Between the delicious comfort food, warm company, and plenty of laughter, it was a wonderful day from start to finish.

One of the highlights? Guessing what all the antique items on the walls were! From old-fashioned tools to vintage signs, everyone had their own theories — and lots of laughs along the way.

There was even a running joke about making an extra stop at a tattoo parlor on the way home — so much so that we might have doctored a photo of one of our residents at the parlor just to show to our unsuspecting (but probably suspicious) administrator, Andy!

Outings like this are a great way for our residents to enjoy good food, good friends, and a little adventure.

Life’s always a bit sweeter at Sterling Suites!

Meet Ron, our resident of the Month! Ron is known for his warm smile, loving heart, and friendly spirit that brightens everyone’s day. Every morning, he greets staff and fellow residents with a hug, a kind word, or even a kiss on the hand to show his appreciation.

A Navy veteran with a rich Hungarian heritage, Ron speaks German and learned English as his third language to pursue his education. He recently joined us from Sevierville, TN to be closer to family, and he’s quickly become a cherished part of our community.

Ron loves spending time with his new friends here at Sterling Suites, enjoying coffee, chocolate, and meaningful conversations. Some of his favorite people in the world are his nephews, his late wife, Brandie our DON, and of course, the Lord.

Thank you, Ron, for sharing your warmth, kindness, and joy with all of us — you truly make Sterling Suites feel like home!

Pumpkin Sundae Day at Cedar Hill Healthcare & Rehabilitation & Sterling Suites!

This week, our amazing Dietary Manager, Lucy, surprised everyone with a sweet taste of autumn, pumpkin sundaes for staff, residents, and our good friend Don of Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care Services!

Scoops of creamy pumpkin ice cream, drizzled with caramel and topped with a swirl of whipped cream, made for the perfect fall treat. The smiles and laughter said it all!

It wasn’t just the sundaes that made the day special — it was seeing everyone come together, share a laugh, and enjoy a simple, joyful moment in each other’s company.

Thank you, Lucy, for adding such a delightful and heartwarming touch of fall to our day!

Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Senior Living proudly celebrated our veterans with a special lunch and a heartfelt pinning ceremony. It was a day filled with gratitude, smiles, and meaningful moments as we honored those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.

We'd like to send a huge thank you to Don from Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care Services, Sergeant Johnson and the Zanesville High School JROTC, and of course, our very own Lucy for preparing a delicious meal and helping make this celebration truly special. All your efforts allowed us to show our veterans just how much their service and sacrifice mean to our community.

Their courage inspires us, their service humbles us, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Today, we celebrate these heroes who’ve given so much to protect our freedom and make our world a better place.

Last week, our Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites teams came together to serve lunch at Christ's Table , and what a rewarding day it was! From plating meals to greeting guests in line, everyone worked side by side to ensure each person received not just a warm meal, but a warm smile, too.

Giving back to our community is something our team values deeply, and opportunities like this remind us how much a simple act of service can brighten someone’s day. We’re so grateful to Christ’s Table for the incredible work they do each and every day to feed and support those in need within our community.

We left with full hearts and a renewed appreciation for the power of kindness, teamwork, and connection.

This November, Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Senior Living are teaming up to host a Christmas Toy Drive benefiting Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services.

We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys all month long to help make the holidays brighter for local children in our community. Together, we can share the joy of the season and remind every child they are loved and supported.

Halloween Fun at Sterling Suites!

Things got spooktacular at Sterling Suites Senior Living as our residents and staff celebrated Halloween in true festive fashion!

The afternoon was filled with music, laughter, and lots of sweet treats to enjoy. Some residents showed off their Halloween shirts, while others topped off their looks with festive headbands and accessories that made the day extra fun.

A few even went all out with costumes, dressing up as beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz! We had our very own Tin Man and Scarecrow bringing smiles and photo-worthy moments as they made their way through the celebration.

The room was bursting with joy, creativity, and connection — a reminder of how special it is to celebrate together. From the candy to the costumes (and everything in between), our Halloween party was a wickedly wonderful time for all!
