Our residents recently got a wonderful surprise when they discovered that one of our very own Resident Assistants, Shirley, can SING!

What started as a simple moment quickly turned into a room full of smiles as Shirley shared her beautiful voice with everyone. Residents were absolutely delighted, and before long, the room was filled with joy, applause, and a little extra sparkle in the air.

Moments like these remind us that the people who care for our residents bring so many special gifts with them — and sometimes, we’re lucky enough to hear them!

Love Was in the Air at Sterling Suites!

Sterling Suites was full of smiles, sweets, and celebration as residents enjoyed a Valentine’s Day party filled with love and laughter!

The room was decorated in red and pink, complete with festive balloons and cheerful décor that set the perfect mood for the day. Residents enjoyed delicious treats, fun drinks, and time spent chatting, laughing, and celebrating together. From heart-shaped goodies to silly glasses and sweet moments shared with friends, it was a party to remember!

At Sterling Suites, holidays are all about connection — and this Valentine’s celebration was a beautiful reminder that love comes in many forms: friendship, laughter, and time spent together.

Our weekly Wine Social at Sterling Suites started as it always does—with good conversation, laughter, and, of course, a glass (or two) of wine. But this past Friday, things took a playful turn…

Residents grabbed marshmallows and straws for an impromptu Olympic Marshmallow Stacking Contest! Towers rose high, strategies got creative, and the room was filled with laughter as everyone cheered each other on.

Between sips of wine and bursts of laughter, the afternoon became the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and friendly competition. By the end of the day, it was clear: at Sterling Suites, even a simple Wine Social can turn into a truly memorable moment!

Bubble Gum Day Fun at Sterling Suites!

Our amazing Resident Assistants at Sterling Suites enjoyed a little extra sweetness during Bubble Gum Day — and plenty of laughs came with it! From colorful pieces of gum to big smiles (and even bigger bubbles), it was a fun way to brighten the day.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate our hardworking team and enjoy a little joy together. Our RAs give so much to our residents every day, and we love seeing them take time to relax, laugh, and have fun.

Our residents spent a fun-filled afternoon in the craft room, getting creative and celebrating the upcoming Valentine’s Day with heart-shaped suncatchers and paper heart people. Thanks to the generous donation from Shrivers Hospice, everyone had just the right materials to make their designs shine.

With plenty of space to spread out, residents laughed, shared ideas, and added their own personal touches to each creation. The result? A room bursting with color, creativity, and the joyful spirit of Valentine’s Day!

From start to finish, it was all smiles, friendship, and a little bit of sparkle—because nothing says love like creating together!

This morning at Sterling, residents got moving and grooving with a bit of cardio drumming! Armed with colorful rhythm sticks, a couch doubling as a drum pad, and some energizing tunes, everyone got a chance to feel the beat and let loose. The room was alive with laughter and tapping sticks as residents followed along with the rhythms, showing off both focus and a touch of flair!

It was a joyful mix of movement and music, proving that staying active can also be incredibly fun. Some residents even joked about taking our “Sterling Drum Corps” on the road—watch out, world! Between the smiles, the beats, and the playful energy, it was a morning full of rhythm, camaraderie, and a few impressive drum solos.

Cardio drumming isn’t just exercise—it’s a chance to connect, laugh, and discover new ways to move. Our residents left the session energized, smiling, and maybe already planning their next “tour.”

Today’s wine social brought residents and staff at Sterling Suites together to honor and say farewell to our Resident Care Coordinator, Brandie, as she embarks on her next journey. The room was filled with gratitude, smiles, and meaningful memories.

Brandie has touched many lives through her compassion, dedication, and genuine care for our residents. One especially touching moment came when our lovely Ruth even sang a song in her honor, making the farewell all the more memorable and emotional.

While we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly thankful for everything Brandie has given to our community. We wish her continued success and happiness in her next chapter — she will always be part of the Sterling family.

Our residents and staff were treated to a beautiful gift this week thanks to two of our very own residents! Miss Ruth filled the room with holiday melodies on her keyboard, while Carol added her lovely voice to bring the songs to life.

From classic Christmas favorites to joyful sing-alongs, the music created a warm, festive atmosphere that had everyone smiling, tapping their toes, and soaking in the spirit of the season.

Thank you, Miss Ruth and Carol, for sharing your talents and helping make the holidays at Sterling Suites even more special!
