Our residents enjoyed spending some time outdoors recently, taking advantage of the fresh air and a nice change of scenery. Whether it was relaxing under the pergola or just sitting and enjoying the view, it made for a peaceful afternoon.

The warmer weather mixed with a bit if sunshine made it even better, giving everyone a chance to slow down and enjoy being outside for a while.

It was a simple way to spend the day, but one that brought a lot of enjoyment — fresh air, good company, and a quiet moment to take it all in.

We recently hosted a fun community Paint & Sip filled with snacks, drinks, and lots of laughter. Guests from the community joined us for a relaxed evening of creativity, good conversation, and trying something new.

The class was led by a talented instructor from Three Sister's Studio, who guided everyone step-by-step in painting bright spring flowers and cheerful bumblebees. Each canvas turned out a little different, showing just how creative our community can be.

Events like this are a wonderful way to bring people together, share experiences, and open our doors to the neighbors and friends who make our community special. A big thank you to Three Sister's Studio for partnering with us to make the evening such a success!

Our residents had a great time playing a lively game called “Steal My Beads.” Each player started with a small collection of beads and took turns rolling dice to see if they could win more — or steal a few from their neighbors!

The game kept everyone on their toes as fortunes changed with every roll. Cheers, playful reactions, and lots of anticipation filled the room as the bead collections grew and shrank throughout the game.

It was a fun way to spend the afternoon, full of surprises, strategy, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of creativity thanks to Interim HealthCare of Zanesville, who hosted a flowerpot painting craft. With brushes in hand and plenty of colorful paint to choose from, residents turned simple pots into bright, cheerful works of art.

By the end of the afternoon, tables were covered in vibrant designs ranging from bold colors to delicate patterns. Residents took pride in choosing their favorite color combinations and putting their own personal stamp on each pot.

A special thank you to Interim Healthcare for spending time with our residents and helping make the day so enjoyable.

Our Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success this year, with 100–150 community members joining us for a fun-filled morning. Even though the weather was a bit chilly, the smiles, laughter, and excitement easily warmed the day. We were also excited to welcome a special guest — the Easter Bunny, who hopped by for photos and helped create special memories for our young visitors.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our generous management team, whose time and donations helped make the day so special.

We would also like to recognize our wonderful residents who helped fill hundreds of eggs ahead of time, and give a special thank you to our resident, Robert, for helping spread the eggs and assist with supervising the event. It truly showed what teamwork looks like at Cedar Hill.

Congratulations to our grand prize bike winners! One bike was generously donated by Shrivers Hospice Foundation and the other by our very own Kyla, helping make Easter extra special for two very happy winners.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, donated, and helped create such a special day. At Cedar Hill, events like this remind us that care goes beyond our walls — it lives in the laughter, the teamwork, and the community we are proud to call family.

Cedar Hill was treated to a wonderful performance from the The Dancing Divas, Inc., who brought energy, sparkle, and plenty of smiles to our residents. Their performance had toes tapping, hands clapping, and the whole room engaged from start to finish.

We were also happy to welcome residents from Sterling Suites Senior Living, who joined us to enjoy the show and share in the fun. Events like this are a great reminder of how much joy music and movement can bring, especially when we can experience it together.

A big thank you to the Dancing Divas for sharing their time and talent with our community. You truly made the day shine a little brighter at Cedar Hill.

Meet Our Amazing Administrator, Andy

At Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Senior Living, we are lucky to have an administrator like Andy. He always has a smile ready, a dad joke on standby, and if you stick around long enough, you might even catch him bursting into song and dance. He calls everyone “boss,” keeps us all laughing, and somehow still manages to keep everything running smoothly between both communities.

Of course, we do our best to keep him on his toes. From staff walking into meetings drinking out of anything but a cup, to randomly filling his office with balloons, even to changing our names just to see how long until he notices — we make sure his days are never boring.

Through all the fun and chaos, Andy takes it all in stride and continues to lead with patience, humor, and dedication. We appreciate everything he does for not only our staff (even if we do drive him a little nuts sometimes), but our residents as well.

Thanks for being such a great sport, Andy!

We’re excited to share that our very own Director of Rehabilitation, Amy, and Sterling Suites RA Shirley are heading to the small screen.

On Wednesday, they met with WHIZ News to help spread the word about the upcoming Community Easter Egg Hunt at Cedar Hill & Sterling Suites 🌷happening right here on the Cedar Hill Healthcare & Rehabilitation / Sterling Suites campus. They did an amazing job representing our community and sharing the fun we have planned.

If you see them around, be sure to ask for their autograph before they get too famous!

It may have been a rainy day outside, but inside Cedar Hill, our residents were busy creating a bit of sunshine.

Our ladies spent the afternoon painting adorable rainboot vases, turning simple ceramic boots into colorful works of art. With bright paints, steady brushes, and plenty of conversation, each resident added her own creative touch.

The rainboot theme was perfect for the day, and the finished vases will soon be ready to hold beautiful flowers — a cheerful reminder that even rainy days can inspire something bright and beautiful.

We love seeing the creativity and laughter our residents bring to every activity!
