I LOVE THE COMMON COLD
Sounds crazy, let me explain
Having the common cold regularly, can be an alarm for something else.
Are you listening to the bell?
An insane thing to say on the internet but have you ever sat and truly thought about the benefits of having a cold?
Everything in life has a positive and negative including the; rhino, adeno, corona and entro virus which can make up the common cold.
I take opportunities to investigate my health from basic colds and use them as indicators.
Whenever I get sick, I take that time to actually listen to my body and assess my surroundings.
QUESTIONS I ASK MYSELF;
How long is my body taking to recover?
Have I overworked myself recently and now my immune system is working to hard?
Am I getting sick around certain people or environments?
How quickly is my fever rising? Is my immune army struggling?
BENEFITS of being unwell for a short minute;
Rest- almost impossible when not sick- it gives a forceful opportunity to stop. It is the only time in the word people will stop harassing you for instant replies
Fasting- we eat way too much. Over consumption stops. Digestion gets a break.
Weight loss – Take the opportunity with being unwell to stop eating junk.
From sickness to recovery, only eat whole foods, in smaller portions.
Two weeks post recovery- continue eating clean and super nutritiously
That usually knocks off an additional 5-10 pounds you wanted gone and didn’t have the will power to do.
Capitalise on the loss of appetite and decreasing sugar cravings
Beat sugar cravings- nothing stops you from eating like too much mucus.
After three days of being unwell, if you don’t return to your regular eating, your cravings for carbohydrates and sugary foods significantly die off. Your body releases reserves of glycogen by day 3. Rebuild your willpower to avoid bad foods, while sick without an appetite.
Mindfulness- mediate by praying steadfastly, while on your sick bed. Reset your mind and brainwash yourself while stationary, of the changes you want. When you stop eating, your thought can become very clear
Underlying conditions come out -common, smaller viruses, have a nasty habit of highlighting larger, hidden issues. Pay attention – you will notice as an example- some women may all of a sudden start bleeding during a simple illness. Because the body is soo depleted of an element, the virus highlights it.
Who is there for you- nothing highlights who is there for you like an illness, regardless of how minor. Take the opportunity to note who abandons or helps you. Yes, viruses are very good at getting rid of unnecessary people.
During any illness, you should always take; caution, good advice and good care of yourself. Rest and see the doctor when necessary.
This article isn’t advocating in any form, the abandonment of common sense. It is saying the opposite.
When you are down, look around and see what your body is telling you.
REMEMDIES
Despite having some uses, here are some suggestions to easily and quickly, get over a basic flu or cold
• Our Herbal help -throat coat ,herbal mix
• Garlic- the boss of all bosses called Russian penicillin . eat ½ to 1 pod every hour until you get to 8 per day, on your first 24 hours (seek advice accordingly)
• Few drops of pure lemon or lime to the back of the throat, every hour
• Fresh ginger grated, thyme, oregano tea with a little honey
• Eat plain eggs for food or bone broth soup with cabbage and plenty onions
• Gargle every hour, with extremely salty water. Drink ½ teaspoon of it slowly, esp to hit the back of the throat
• Do an old fashion pot steam- water, plenty sea salt, peppermint or any mint oil/ a few drops, fresh rosemary, onions skins or whole. Low simmer and inhale carefully, 3 times per day
• Two pairs of socks (so you can double) place sliced onions with juice, on a tissue, into the socks and sleep with it
• Coconut oil, plus eucalyptus oil (not peppermint if there is a high fever) a few drops and rub by sides of neck , chest back and behind ears (main lymph areas, like granny did)
You can choose all, one, or a few. Use caution especially with kids and speak to your doctor where necessary.
