It is with a heavy heart that we announce the transition of our beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend Akema Amelia Adams.
She was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering devotion whose faith and love for her family especially her dad touched everyone she knew. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, cherished by her loving parents, children, family and friends.
Akema is survived by her mother, Evan H. Randolph-Adams; father, Julian Adams (Rose); brothers, Julian Adams Jr., Erik Adams; sons, Angel (Jeremi) Adams, Timothy Lovett, Henry Adams; daughter, Lakema Lovett; aunts, special aunt Dianne Patricia (Pat) Fraser, Phillis Bonney, Mabel, Maryetta, Ann and Rosie Randolph, Annette Adam-Henry, Darlene and Carol Adams; uncles, Theodis Randolph, Dean Adams Sr. and Neal Adams (Rasheedah); great aunts, Margarita โMaggieโ Fraser-Hodge (Norbert) Idalia โDalieโ Fraser-Turnbull (Edwardo); godfather, Lionel Parsons; special sisters/cousins, Amy Beach, Misty Harris and Leah Norton; Great Uncles; Granville, Godfrey, Aubrey and Cyril Frett. Great Great Uncle; Larry(Rosalie), Edwin (Sylvia), Ulric and Elridge (Donecia) Adams.Great Aunts; Cynthia Night(Clifford), Maybel Thomas and Tulor Frett- Cameron(Walter). numerous cousins, Great Great aunts and uncles and family too numerous to mention.
Akema was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ruby Lee Randolph and Estella Adams; grandfather, Alan Adams and aunt, Judith (Judy) Adams; uncles, Claude and Richard Randolph.
Funeral services will be held on January 12 2026 at Innovation Baptist Church, 2150 Belle Vue Way, Tallahassee, FL 32304 US. Viewing begins at 2:00 pm.
