VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: RESEARCHERS AT IHEAT
POSITION: RESEARCHERS
The International Institute of Health Economics and Technology (iHEAT) is seeking highly motivated and talented researchers to join our team in Hanoi, Vietnam. iHEAT is a leading think-tank dedicated to supporting health system management and developing global health policies using economic evidence and applied technology. As a researcher at iHEAT, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research projects and collaborate with a diverse team of experts.
Location: 102 An Trach Street, Hanoi, Vietnam
Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
1) Education: A Master’s degree (MSc) earned from international universities specializing in one of the following fields: public health, pharmacology, health economics, biostatistics, psychology, education, sociology, social work, nursing, data sciences, or health informatics.
2) Expertise: Strong quantitative skills and a solid understanding of research methodologies are essential. You should have experience in conducting data analysis, statistical modeling, or health technology assessments.
3) Research Interests: Familiarity with at least one of the research mainstreams at iHEAT is highly desirable. The prioritized tracks include:
- Brain, Behavior and Technology;
- Health Economics and Management;
- Global Health Policy;
- Health Services and Systems;
- Data Science and Modeling;
- Health Technology Assessment;
- Sustainable Development Goals;
- Digital Medicine;
- Public Health Nutrition;
- and Nursing Research.
4) Collaborative Approach: Excellent teamwork and communication skills are crucial, as you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team of international experts, scientists, and social activists.
Responsibilities: As a researcher at iHEAT, your responsibilities will include:
1) Contributing to research projects within your area of expertise and the chosen research mainstream.
2) Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing evidence.
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data using quantitative research methods.
3) Collaborating with team members and external partners to develop research proposals and publications.
4) Participating in knowledge translation activities, such as e-learning, workshops, conferences, and policy briefings.
5) Engaging in capacity-building activities to support the development of research ecosystems.

In your essay, we expect you to: Provide a comprehensive analysis of the global situation related to your chosen topic, considering relevant data, research, and trends. Identify the gaps and challenges that exist within the chosen topic, particularly in relation to health systems and policies. Discuss the specific implications and impact of the topic on the healthcare landscape in Vietnam, considering its unique context and challenges. Propose innovative and evidence-based solutions that can address the identified gaps and challenges in Vietnam. Demonstrate your ability to think critically, present logical arguments, and communicate complex ideas effectively within a 500-word limit.
