Association of Law Students of the Philippines - Mindanao presents DEBATE WORKSHOP with the first champion debater on ANC CVC Law Debates Season 1, Atty. Rochelle Marie Cortez, MDC as the guest speaker who will impart best practices and the ins and outs of debate. Together with Khristian Damielle A. Jamer, RN, LPT, who will also guide the participants in the workshop, this debate workshop aims to be advantageously use everyone's communication skills and confidence to effective public speaking.

When a team outgrows individual performance and learns team confidence, excellence becomes a reality. Coming into today's academic year was both a challenge and a blessing, we have to brave through the new normal while making sure that the student leaders stand firm in its purest goal: to bring the law student body and faculty together under the banner of hope and excellence.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our College of Law Dean Atty Francisco Xavier A. del Rosario, the LSA Moderator Atty. Rush Salik, the DILSoc Moderator Atty. Mohammad Muktadir Estrella for their constant guidance, our valuable speaker Dra. Margie Fiesta for calibrating and refreshing our minds toward better and positive outlook in life especially in law school; our legal debate adjudicators Atty. Amira Alyssa Abdulcalim, Atty Yasmin H. Abdulkarim and Atty. Sahara Alia Silongan for sharing their expertise and their love for debate and law.

To the entire law student body for being a good sport and for showering their friends and classmates with the loudest cheer (emoji warriors) and for supporting all the activities despite the impending internet maintenance, you were the real winners!

The Debate and International Law Society in partnership with Law Student Association presents the Annual Square Offs: Legal Debate tomorrow at 9am, live via Zoom.

Law students from different viewpoints and positions will battle it out in Oxford-Oregon debate format, backed with legal research, jurisprudence and their conviction, they will defend their houses in the following propositions:

LIBRT applications for marriage divorce should be legalized.
LIBRT a person has the right to die.

We are joined by our Bangsamoro lady lawyers to help us adjudicate and decide the Over All Champion and Best Debater of 2020.
