No CTO trip would be complete without our wonderful APN staff and volunteers. Our APN’s taught the local nurses and families about bowel management and did some post op teaching for the families of our surgical patients. The volunteers completed 2 murals for the surgical floors and spent time brightening the day for the patients being cared for on the surgical floors!❤️

CTO just wrapped up a week at Childrens Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 3 days we were able to perform 19 complex, life changing surgeries and do lots of teaching for the families of those children! As always we had wonderful hosts who were eager to learn and share their beautiful faculty with our team.

CTO spent the first week of December at the Philippine Childrens Medical Center in Manila. They did 11 surgical cases over 2 days which were coordinated with a conference. The staff at the hospital was amazing, they learned a lot, and are now better equipped to serve their colorectal population.

CTO Brasil is wrapping up their third OR day today, we will have completed 22 life changing surgeries! It’s not without the tremendous effort from our host hospital and surgeons as well as the sacrifice of time and skill from visiting providers of many specialties that make these weeks so successful and life altering for the patients.
