✨Happy new YEAR !!! It’s mid January already & also only !
Most of us with kids have been on holiday and still are in between holiday and work. A lot of us “parents” only fully return in February.

I am one of the latter although my work availability for questions, photography, prints or art piece commissions continues as of the 15th of January.

ART COMMISSIONS
✨This year I have space/ the capacity for 8 larger art commissions, no more. ( I’m already busy with one large commission for a house in Eluk so that’s exciting )!

Sooo this said, if you have a guest house, resort or personal space where you’d like a custom made art pice / various pieces & sizes please feel free to reach out ✨🥰

I will be involved with various projects including:
*teaching my art workshops with “Artopia-Kids” ( as of mid / end Feb)
*focusing on therapeutic possibly offering retreats
*wedding and family photography,
*school photography and prints
*ARTOPIA Prints ( the boutique prints I offer)
*local art exhibitions ~ whenever they arise and feel aligned

✨Kinda PERSONAL:
This year as a person but also a brand I want to make room to whatever comes up along the way that sparks my passion and interest.

Along side of my 5 kids, husband and very fruitful garden 🪴! This year is all about peace, harmony less hustle and bustle and embracing the reason of why I started this little gem of a business in this gorgeous Nation of Vanuatu ✨

LIFE is a true gift and I’m grateful to live it here on this soil with all of you!

Here are my last “backstage /in the making photis”, that I’ll be posting .

Some techniques I use for my own art will always remain a secret. But I can give you some secret ingredients:

10.Add a little music when you feel like it, document a playlist for each painting, write secret blessings and messages under the paint, bless your paintings and remember that your talent & even your skills all comes from God 🫶🏼💧💦

✨Yay !!! tomorrow is friday with ARTOPiA kids classes at Amoremio 🌈🎨

Currently Group 1 at 2pm is full ✨🎨
Group 2 has multiple openings due to children relocating etc. If you have a child between the age of 8-12 who loves art or wants to try out something fun and new, then gladly reach out to me via messenger.

The great think about teaching art at Amoremio is that you can combine it with an end week treat! 😋
I personally love ending my week with some sort of a hot drink, there are so many options to chose from!

*This week we’ll be Learning about Claud Monet 🎨😀

*Last week we created fantasy trees of life and used our imagination and proclaimed positive thoughts into the trees reflecting about how similar we are to trees.

Hope to see you all on Friday afternoon ✨🎨before I make my way to Amoremio I’ll be doing school photography for the morning;) one full Friday ahead for me.

Time : starting at 5 for 5:30pm at the Susanne Bastien Art Foundation in Pango.

There are many amazing artists that will exhibit their works.

🎨 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙜-𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙝!

From studying performing arts 🎭 to surviving a rare cancer at just 12, Melissa’s journey has always been shaped by resilience, creativity & faith.

Melissa went on to study fine art and explore diverse techniques around the world — merging influences from Indian, Ethiopian, South African, German, British, and Hawaiian cultures. 🌍 Her work has been shaped by inspirations such as Tay Dal, who lived in her neighbourhood as a late teen, and South African artist Cathy de Villiers, a beloved mentor and “auntie.”

Since 2021, Melissa has been teaching art, drama, dance, and art therapy in schools across Germany. Today, she calls Vanuatu home 🇻🇺, where she teaches at Life Changers school and runs Artopia — her growing business soon to launch photography & printing. Her art reflects healing, storytelling & the belief that true impact isn’t about fame, but how we choose to inspire others every day. 💫

🌱Privileged to showcase these 11 Kiddos amazing recycled masterpieces ✨

If you have a child between the age of 5-12 I have two groups every Friday Amoremio.

Group 2 ( age 8-12 ) has currently got five openings as of mid September. Children are moving / leaving the country and new spaces are opening up.

☕️Because of the nature of the space which I utilise I try keep the groups relatively small, although I’m used to teach classroom sized groups 🙂 so your child will still have individual attention from me.

The price per lesson is 1450VT all materials included.

I prefer monthly or term sign ups just because our created pieces often extend over two lessons ( 2 weeks).

I’m always open for questions and am super grateful for all the happy faces that show up every week.

✨Today was another beautiful day at ARTOPiA on the art veranda at the venue of Amoremio it’s always a treat for the children to have something special to go along with their art class. Some enjoy a smoothie or a Crêpe or even an ice cream in a special chocolate sprinkle cone. Some just prefer water and hanging on the monkey bars.

Either way ending the week like this seems to be very rejuvenating for the kids and that’s what matters most 🥰

Want to sign up your child age 5-12 ? I have two groups with more than enough space to accommodate some more creative minds.
