We fit this Matai (village chief)back in June and did a follow up today. He was walking within a week without any issues/crutches back then! However he was hit by a police car while sitting by the side of the road that broke his other good leg. The cast is off now and he is partially weight bearing on his good leg. These Savaiian Samoans are tough and resilient!!

We fit this gentleman a year ago! He is also a minister of this beautiful church. A year ago he was very weak and skinny...

We fit this gentleman a year ago! He is also a minister of this beautiful church. A year ago he was very weak and skinny and now he is walking around his property with healthy muscles. We did a minor repair and gave him a back up liner that the church is paying for. Of course they gave us a heartfelt thank you and shared some fresh coconuts and bananas!

this man is a great example of determination and perseverance as he could not stand all the up straight because of flexion contractures of the knee and hip! He could not stand for more than two minutes but look at him now!!

Meet Jeffery! He has been walking on an old prosthetic leg for a while until the foot fell apart and then he made his foot out of wood! Can you say carbon fiber foot is a huge difference!!!He can now walk as fast as he wants!! Maybe he can catch him self a girlfriend now!

we were able to fit this gentleman a few months after amputation and it’s evident in how quickly he was able to walk. This was just minutes after his first steps! His daughter is helping with Epenesa Young doing her excellent coaching!
