Enjoy outdoor yoga in the tranquillity of Knoll’s glorious naturalistic garden before it opens to the public. Inspired by the weather and nature, classes may be out on the lawn on sunny days, a mindful walk through the gardens if chilly, or under the shelter of the marquee if wet. These varied and holistic sessions may include flowing movements, yoga postures, breath work, guided relaxation, mindfulness, and meditation. A fantastic way to start your day!
Classes are taught by experienced yoga teachers Jackie Hayfield and Bex Triggs and are suitable for all levels and abilities. Please bring your own mat. Booking essential.
£13.00 per class or £40 for a 4-week block (includes entry into the gardens).
Thursday 9am every week until October.

Why I Don't Teach More Yoga Classes?
I'm often asked why I don’t teach more yoga classes. For me, it’s not about quantity — it’s about quality. I want to give 110% every time I step into the space to teach. I want to show up fully, with presence, and hold space in a way that’s nourishing for both you and me.
As an empath and highly sensitive person, I feel everything deeply. I absorb energy like a sponge — it’s not something I can switch off. Because of that, I’ve learned how vital it is to protect my own energy and wellbeing. Teaching less is one of the ways I do that.
I also wear other hats outside of teaching yoga. I have jobs that require my physical and mental energy, and I juggle time with my partner, family, friends, and the things that bring me joy. It would be easy to fill my diary to the brim — but I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that slowing down is essential.
For me, slowing down looks like:
Logging off technology
Being truly present
Not rushing
Being in nature
Meditating regularly
Keeping up with my own yoga practice
Doing simple things mindfully and intentionally
This is how I take care of myself — so I can show up as the best version of me. As a yoga teacher. As a partner. An aunty. A sister. A daughter. A friend. A co-worker. Presence is my mission — and it starts with choosing spaciousness.
What does slowing down look like for you? 💭

It's been a highlight of the Academic year teaching student's Yoga. I've met some wonderful students of all ages and i wish those who have now finished and completed their studies the best of luck with their future careers. And those entering their second and third years I look forward to reconnecting again soon. ✨

I've been taking some time off work with my partner, exploring Nantes in France then Glamping in Cheddar. It's been a wonderful experience of local foods, site seeing, speaking a little French! And then escaping to nature surrounded by woods and Cheddar Gorge. It's been relaxing and grounding. I could not resist a Yoga pose on the top of the Gorge! stunning views. 🌲

Stop chasing happiness.
We are trained to believe happiness is external.
Suffering begins with craving, desire success validation.
More we crave more we suffer
Craving makes us restless even when we get what we want. Satisfaction fades quickly. The mind moves onto the next thing and the next. Never content.
Its not the objects themselves that bring suffering but our attachment to them. Our belief that we need to feel whole. We become trapped in a cycle of wanting ...getting....relief....emptiness.. wanting again and so the chase goes on
Using Buddhism which invites us to pause and look inward. Happiness isn't something we aquire it's something we return to. A calm state that exists beneath all the noise of wanting, chasing, comparing.
Think about a snow globe when shaken its chaotic and cloudy. Let it rest the snow settles and clarity returns.
Your mind is the same. When we stop grasping for next thing the mind begins to settle and in that stillness peace arises naturally
Peace comes from within
It's quiet it's steady
And it's always been there all along
Putting this into practice
1. Practice contentment. Ask what's already here in my life.
2. Observe your cravings. When you want something badly. Pause. Notice the desire. Let it pass.
3.meditate regulary. Just a few minutes of silence each day helps calm the storm. Learning to sit with yourself and listen
Happiness is not somewhere else. Or with the next achievement or purchase or relationship .
Happiness is within. It's always there. When we stop chasing happiness we stop running away from ourselves. And In that stillness we finally come home..

Total beginners are welcome, most of my student's came to this class with no prior experience or knowledge of Yoga, health conditions and limited range of movement, flexibility and strength. They value the supportive understanding way i teach and offer them options so they can be in control of their practice according to how they feel in their bodies.
I am a qualified and registered yoga teacher with over 1000 hours of training and continuing to develop my CPD regularly.
I specialise in helping those that require modifications, and alternative ways to be within traditional yoga postures. Helping to build stength, improve range of movement, balance, flexibility and peace of mind. Bringing members of the community together supporting friendships.
Here's a recent review from Lorraine from my Monday morning class she has been attending the class for around 3 years

I have been attending Bex Triggs yoga classes for some time and they have become very much a part of my weekly routine and something that I look forward to every week. My feeling of wellbeing, flexibility and balance have improved immensely since attending the weekly classes and I love the fact that every week offers something different you never feel there is any competition within the group classes. Bex is a kind and considerate person who works hard to ensure that everyone’s needs are met and focuses very much on the emotional wellbeing as well as the physical. Highly recommended!

Bex offers yoga classes in a diverse range of yoga styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket, Hot and Restorative Yoga. 1-2-1 Private Yoga sessions, workshops, special events and corporate sessions are also available.
She discovered how much of a positive impact her practice had on her life, both mentally and physically, as it helped her get through many difficult times. As a Musician Yoga provided Bex with an opportunity to build endurance and find balance. Recalibrating the mind and allowing her to breathe through stress and develop in her musical journey. She realized she wanted to share her passion and practice with others and she eagerly continued her journey to becoming a Yoga Teacher.
Bex believes that yoga has something to offer every single person. She seeks to share her passion, knowledge, and practice with her students through her teaching of self-awareness and a focus on the need to nourish your body and mind. Bex allows everyone to move at their own pace, coordinating movement and breath to unite the mind to the body. Her classes leave students feeling connected, confident , calm and relaxed.
