Because we’ve been conditioned to think that rest is lazy, it’s not something that a lot of us feel comfortable doing until we absolutely need to. That’s one reason why burnout is so common. Trust me, it’s something that I still struggle with myself. When I do my pre-treatment meditations, I ask my clients to give themselves permission to fully relax. I believe that we have to be purposeful with self-care, rest and relaxation. It might not always feel free of guilt when we do it, but practice makes perfect 🤍

A gorgeous day in the cabin today. During every treatment I thought about the messages I received after last night’s meditation classes. I really hope that you find the strength to set health boundaries to protect your peace. Life is too short not to 🤍

After speaking with a number of people who wanted to attend my meditation but couldn’t due to availability, location or a preference to meditate alone vs. in a group setting, I will be holding an online class a week today. The class will be 40 mins and £7, and it will be held via Zoom, so you’d need an account. There’s something very relaxing about finding a familiar, cosy spot in your own home to meditate. I can’t wait! Bookings are open now 🤍

This afternoon, one of my wonderful clients asked me if I’m naturally calm or if I have to work at it. I could answer this question without thinking; I very much have to work at it. I love to be calm, but I wouldn’t say it’s my natural, effortless state by any means. Some may think that self-care is easy, positivity is innate and a calm energy is given to you, but the truth is that we all live in an incredibly stressful society. One we were never built to sustain. So I work very hard to be calm. I make an effort to look after myself and my mental health. It certainly is a discipline to try and experience and share the very best version of myself 🤍
