The story of Trinity's Hope, LLC really began when my grandbaby Trinity was about 3 years old. She and my daughter were going through a very difficult time in their lives that broke all of our hearts. I really did not know what to do. But something spoke to me and said, "Nancy, you may not be able to keep her safe but you know someone who can."
It was then that I took her to church. There were times I did not want to go but she loved it so much and I could not break her heart. I just couldn't. So she and I went every single Sunday and it was during that time that she and I developed a very close bond. Not only did we create a bond, but I reestablished my relationship with God.
In my work life, working with the op**te population during a time when the opioid epidemic had hit really hard, I devoted all of my time and efforts helping those who could not help themselves. I made it my mission to never let anyone leave my office without hope. And that is exactly what I did.
Over the course of about 3 years, I wrote and/or assisted writing grants that resulted in approximately $500,000 of funding for a small rural county in which I was working. That money was used to improve the quality of care for individuals in need of services or medication to treat their opioid addiction.
This funding made it possible for individuals in opioid withdrawals to go to detox for 7 days followed by 30 days of residential treatment, weekly slots for psychiatry appointments, funding for telepsych services to fill in the gaps of service so that they could be prescribed Vivitrol. This funding also provided prescriptions for Narcan, and also training for staff on opioid addiction.
In addition to these grants, I also was part of 2 projects through the State of Wisconsin and UW Madison to increase access to medication assisted treatment as well as to improve access to treatment services. I developed the HEARTS Program (Helping Enhance and Retain Treatment Services) a streamlined network of providers and professionals that resulted in individuals seeking treatment for op**te addiction to be screened, assessed, admitted into treatment, and prescribed Vivitrol within a 7 day period. 100% of individuals served received services within 24 hours or less the first year with 100% retention. Access to medication increased from 0 prescribers to 7, 5 of which began prescribing buprenorphine.
I am sharing this story because all of this began with a very special little 3 year old girl. It is because of the hope and inspiration she gave me that people's lives have been saved. God used her situation to help me so that I could help those who could not otherwise help themselves. It was God's design from the very beginning. It was His will that did the work and, therefore, I have to acknowledge Him.
It only seemed fitting that my company be named after her. I had a little help from a friend coming up with a name, but to me, it is perfect.
There are millions of people in the world who feel absolutely hopeless because of their addictions, their mental health, their traumas, their relationships, and their lives in general. Trinity's Hope, LLC wants to reach every single one of them and for not a single one of its readers to walk away uninspired or hopeless.
During the day I am an intensive in home psychotherapist working with children and their families. When I am not working there, I am putting together plans to reach those millions.
While it is that I will be monetizing my website, all money that I earn will be used to give back to the community in whatever way it is that is needed.
I hope that you will take the time to subscribe to my blog. I have many plans that I hope you will find helpful, encouraging, and to also give you hope that you may need for whatever it is that you are struggling with in your life.
I look forward to your comments, suggestions, and discussions that I will be posting on this page. You may also message me or send me an email. Thank you !!!
