Knee pain after 50 years is the start of osteoarthritis knee (OA)
Osteoarthritis knee management has evolved drastically in last few years.
Management depends upon the stage of the disease.
A.Medication
b.weight reduction
C. injection in joints
These are modalities for slowing the progression and reducing the knee pain.

Injection modalities for knee pain
1. Inj. Triamcinolone
2. Inj. Methylprednisolone
3. Inj. platelet rich plasma
4. Inj. Growth factor concentrate
5. Inj. Hyaluronic acid (viscosupplementation)
Today interventions are available to delay the progression of disease. And now the recovery after the surgery is also very fast.
Earlier it used to take 10-15 days to allow the patient to walk after surgery.
Now pain management modalities are so advanced that patient can walk just 2-3 hours after surgery.
This requires the expertise from all the aspect: surgeons, anesthesiologist, physiotherapist, nursing staff, ward boys lab work.
