Evidence on the benefits in preventing skin tears in older people by the frequent application of emollients (moisturiser). I often suggest that as long as the cream/ointment is non medicated and you like using it, it doesn’t matter what brand you use.

This is one of the reasons why when you see a podiatrist we also require to know what medications you take. As if you are already being treated for atrial fibrillation we don’t need to contact your GP to raise awareness about what we’ve discovered during our assessment. Often you will never know this quick and non invasive test is taking place.
