A little about me...

Hi all, I’ve been quiet here while catching up on a lot of projects lately. I thought it might be time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Brooke Winder, physical therapist and owner of . My passion is helping performing artists and athletes with problems at or around the pelvis—leaking, irritated bladders, bothersome prolapse symptoms, and pelvic, hip, or back pain—so they can return to the movement that makes them happy and fulfilled.

I grew up in the worlds of dance and artistic gymnastics, and I know how important it is to find a healthcare practitioner that really understands your world and what you do. I’ve been there, and I know how important your movement is to you. I’m a really great movement detective—I love helping performers troubleshoot, explore, and learn how to make effective changes in the areas that will make the biggest difference.

I’m a big nerd who loves to teach and research —I coordinate the Dance Science degree program at Cal State Long Beach, where I help dancers learn about anatomy, injury prevention, wellness, and using science to optimize performance. I think every performer should be armed with the best information possible so they can take charge of their health and prolong their careers. I perform research on pelvic floor issues in dancers, and give a heckuva lot of workshops and conference presentations to share what I’ve learned.

When I’m not out spreading the word on pelvises, performance, and wellness, you can find me cooking, hiking, Pilates-ing, and hanging with my husband and kiddo (preferably at the beach).

I am working on creating some new resources about pelvic health for performers, so stay tuned!
