Hello all! The trails are great! even better, the days are getting a little brighter! It’s still important that you wear reflective items if it’s near dawn or dusk, there are some really big piles of snow around town that limit visibility. Enjoy! And if you want to rent skis check out ParksRec Kotzebue!

Hello fellow skiers! It's taken a while, but it's finally cold and I'm glad theres a bit of snow on the ice and the ground. Thanks to the dropping temps, the ice should be fine for skiing, just be extra cautious under the bridges the channel areas. The City of Kotzebue ParksRec Kotzebue has cross country skis for rent, I will get a schedule posted of the best times to do that. Enjoy the snow and if you have any questions, feel free to share here.

Still skiing? I have been getting out, but only in places where I know the ice is thick and there is no current underneath eroding the ice quickly. Don’t be shy about asking what places are still be safe! About time to brush off the waking and running shoes!

The snow is great! The days are longer! Hope people are getting out. Check out Parks and Recreation for rentals. If you still get put in the dark, remember your reflective tape and lights, pets too! Enjoy 😊

When I left in December conditions were pretty bleak! I just did a nice ski outback and the trails are great! Happy new year to all and I look forward to seeing people out there. Don't forget your high visibility gear!
