The Big Sing at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School on 10th May – it’s free – just turn up!

The Big Sing is a community sing along for people affected by dementia and their family, friends, supporters, and champions. This is a magical event in a fun and supportive environment, using the power of music and collective voices to bring people together and lift spirits.

Come along and sing your favourite songs and help support the community as part of Dementia Action Week. This event is free and accessible. Taking place in Queen Elizabeth Grammar School. Doors open at 1.30 pm. Everyone is welcome.

This event is organised by Memory Action Group. Memory Action group is a local charity who exist to help people affected by dementia and their family and carers living in the Wakefield district and surrounding areas; using games, cognitive therapy, quizzes, singing, crafting, day trips, social experiences and other activities. They create opportunities for peer support for both people living with dementia and also family, friends, and carers.

So, it's a week today that my Dad will do his tandem skydive in memory of his beautiful wife Susan. He wants to raise as much as possible for Marie Curie who were a fantastic support to the while family.

My amazing Dad is doing a parachute jump to raise money for Marie Curie.

I have recently lost my Stepmum Susan to cancer. In the final days of her life, the Marie Curie nurses provided an invaluable service, looking after Sue with amazing kindness, and providing fantastic support to my Dad and the rest of her family.

I would love to help my Dad to raise a fabulous amount to enable other people receive this excellent support. So please dig deep and give whatever you can

👣A lot of my footcare appointments are arranged by relatives for their loved ones. Sometimes it can be because they can no longer reach their feet, sometimes it’s because they have challenges with their feet that need special attention, or sometimes it’s simply because a foot care treatment makes them feel better 😊. Whatever the reason, every person I see is treated with care and attention.
