#潔西卡的自癒真實故事(隔離防疫旅館)-早上發生了一個重大意外事件-我左膝韌帶舊傷復發(走路莫名拐到),瞬間痛到無法呼吸和一直想嘔吐。我拖著身體慢慢爬上床,躺著先尋求上海的台灣籍中醫師有沒有按壓哪些穴位能取代針灸緩解?嘗試幾個點的按壓,還是很痛(似乎稍微不那麼痛,但還是無法伸直膝蓋)。
我開始冷靜下來思考,我是一個徒手物理治療師,如果當遇到這樣患者,我該怎麼處理?我開始把手放在膝蓋上,嘗試傾聽周圍組織傳達的訊息,我嘗試了快速、淺層搓揉附近肌肉(目的:增加組織溫度,達到微溫的感覺),接著我嘗試放鬆股內側肌、大腿內收肌群,以及找到後側方大腿Hamstring group,incl biceps femoris ..etc.,在過程中,我能明顯感覺到韌帶附著在脛骨內側緣的拉扯力(在我輕微動我的小腿感覺到)。接著,我腦海中跑過一遍「大學骨科治療上課所學(感謝中山醫學大學葉信顯教授),再加上研究所、出來再進修的國外課程、感謝同學老王、大熊、學妹君丰、千慧、學弟信良等等以前一起練習徒手治療的臨床經驗和人體生物力學、FM,even VM,CST等等理論」,讓我嘗試去治療我自己。
神奇的事情發生了-我的膝蓋竟然鬆解很多,能完全伸直、還能下床走動,我真的非常開心,開心的是-過去投入的學費、經驗,能實踐治療效果。

unforgettable experience from myself as a physical therapist ( in quarantine hotel)
I suffered a relapse of old ACL injury this morning when I walked in my room.Suddenly the fierce pain, even nausea feeling came out at the moment .I’ve tried to ask for help from the Chinese medicine doctor from Shanghai for searching key points like acupuncture effect to release symptoms but no remarkable improvement.(I still couldn’t extend my leg toward the terminal range and pain persists).
I’ve told myself “Calm down and start rational thinking if there were a patient with the same symptom coming to my clinic,how can I do for him/her?Then I started to put my hand on my knee and listened !Gathering the msg of my hand delivered from the tissue surrounding the spot.Something like telling me , “there ,here....,tight,stress,tangling,pulling,...” And I rubbed my skin,fascia,even muscles in order to increase the temperature of tissues like VMO, hip adductor ,hamstring (biceps femoris),even iliac psoas,sigmoid meso,obturator foramen fascia...etc.I could obviously feel the pulling tension from the ligaments attached in the medial border of tibia.
Then I’ve started to treat myself according to all the theories from orthopaedic rehab class in college school,biomechanics ,sport medicine subjects in graduate school,VM,CST,FM...clinical techniques practicing with my schoolmates,classmates’ teaching.
A magic happened!My knee could extend straight and pain reduced a lot even I could get down from the bed and walk.I was so excited I made it successfully.All what I’ve learnt in the past experience could make the therapeutic effect come true.
Finally I wanna share my personal self-healing experience to everyone.To believe deeply the magic hands and brains 🧠 of physical therapists are incredible awesome,the wellspring of wisdom.Ask for help from the professional PTs without any hestitations!
