New Study Alert. ✨💜

A new study is out published by European College of Neuropsychopharmacology suggests that psilocybin showed greater long-term effects on depression compared to escitalopram, a commonly prescribed SSRI.

In this study it was reported that “Patients taking psilocybin reported a greater sense of meaning, psychological connectedness, and improved social functioning.”

This research shows the potential of psilocybin as a treatment option for depression, especially for those who may not respond well to traditional antidepressants.

I have seen SSRI and Psychedelics change my clients life. I think they both hold significance in our society and I think there is room for both. This study in particular showed they both showed improvement in patients with psilocybin providing clients with additional benefits that the SSRI did not. Clients reported psilocybin improving libido where SSRI was reported to reduce it.

There are many benefits to psilocybin as it has a low addiction risk, it isn’t a medicine that is needed daily, and it can help process stored trauma in the body and mind.

As we continue to explore psychedelics in terms of legal mental health treatment, it is essential to advocate for more research and clinical trials. This will help us better understand the long-term effects and optimize therapeutic protocols for safe and effective use.

With any plant medicine work, It should be done in a safe setting and with professional guidance. It is important to first build a relationship with the plant and its spirit before consuming. This will help you build a greater connection and honoring of the medicine. As you navigate with new a relationship with the plant you will also gain a new relationship with self. 🌿💫

🌺 Exciting News!🐾

Something that has been years in the making, I am now offering Animal Assisted Therapy!

If you know anything about me, you probably know about my obsession with animals. I stopped eating meat when I was in third grade because pigs were my favorite animal and I refused to eat them.

I have been working in and out of the animal world for over a decade now. I first started working in animal rehabilitation with birds and quickly moved into the veterinary field and then into farm animal work. I cant imagine my life without animals in it.

I am so excited to be bridging my passion for animals with my soul mission as a therapist.

These sessions will in person at the amazing and be with their loving animals. I have had the honor of working with these animals over the past three years and can’t wait to share their magic with you.

Animal-assisted therapy provides not only physical benefits but also emotional well-being for clients. Interacting with animals can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The unconditional love and nonjudgmental presence of animals create a safe space for you to express your feelings and build trust. Whether it’s grooming a sheep or cleaning a duck pool, these sessions foster a sense of connection, joy, comfort and love. 🌿🐾

Happy Lughnasadh (loo-nah-sa). 🌾

Lughnasadh marks the first of the three harvest festivals. It’s a time to express gratitude for bountiful crops and honor the God in the form of Lugh, the Sun King.

Lugh (Lú): The festival is named after Lugh, the Celtic Sun God and a master of many skills. He represents light, harvest, and craftsmanship. Lugh is often depicted as a youthful warrior and a wise leader.

Seasonal Turning Point: Falling between the summer solstice (Litha) and the fall equinox (Mabon), Lughnasadh represents a midpoint in the seasonal cycle. As the days gradually shorten, we celebrate the grain harvest.

Traditions: Some common practices include baking bread (symbolizing the harvested grain), sharing food with loved ones, and reflecting on abundance.

🌾🌻🌿
Lugh, radiant sun and skilled craftsman,
We honor your strength, your light, and your artistry.
As the first harvest approaches,
We gather the fruits of our labor.
Bless our fields, our hands, and our hearts.
May abundance flow like golden grain.
Guide us in the weaving our dreams,
Creating beauty from raw materials.
Danu, gentle goddess of the land,
We honor your nurturing embrace.
As the earth yields its bounty,
We celebrate your cycles and rhythms.
Bless us with sustenance and connection.
May we tread gently upon your body,
In harmony with all life.
Together, Lugh and Danu,
We dance the dance of creation.

Full Moon in Capricorn, which occurs on July 21, 2024, at 6:17 a.m. ET (3:17 a.m. PT). 🌕✨

Theme: Answer The Call
This Full Moon marks the culmination of a six-month cycle of deep learning and transformation. The first half of the year brought challenges that revealed our true desires, and now we’re ready to take responsibility for our long-term happiness by making bold decisions that transcend our wounds and fears.

The Anaretic Degree
✨This Full Moon is known as a “blue” moon because it’s the second Capricorn Full Moon of the summer.
*✨It occurs at the anaretic degree (or “degree of fate”), which represents purging and integration before a new beginning.

Pluto’s Influence
*✨Pluto, the planet of transformation, closely aligns with this Moon. Pluto has been dipping in and out of Capricorn since early 2023, urging us to release the past and reach for a more aligned future.
✨In the fall, Pluto will touch the 29th degree one last time before leaving Capricorn for good. This signifies not only the results of intentions set during the New Moon in January but also the completion of a larger story that began in 2008.

Neptune’s Influence
*✨Neptune, sitting in the final degree of Pisces, forms a supportive sextile with the Full Moon. This gentle energy encourages us to recognize what’s right for us.
✨Pay attention to inner nudges and dreams—they’ll expand your vision beyond previous limitations.

Mars in Gemini Influence:
✨Mars moves into Gemini until September 4th. Intellectual Curiosity: Mars encourages exploration of new ideas, sparking curiosity and mental stimulation. Be cautious of overthinking and self doubt during this time.
✨Dynamic Communication: This transit emphasizes effective communication, having the difficult conversations, and networking.

There are so many different energies happening in the sky right now with a big emphasis on decision making that honor your highest calling.

This will require you to lean into fear with courage and confidence. Trust yourself and know that you can always change your mind later. Decisions aren’t as black and white as the 3D makes it seem. You can always change again and again.

This is the way (cue mandalorian music)

The first time I connected with my oversoul it shared this message with me.

This is the way- the code of The Knowing.

The Knowing is different than knowing. The Knowing is a frequency, a dimension, something that can’t be explained in the 3D realm.

The Knowing doesn’t make logical sense, it is the path of the soul. It is fully surrendering to the signs and receiving the information even if you logically don’t want it.

Being in The Knowing isn’t always easy. Our society has trained us to live in the known and expect it. Society taught me to always ask questions, be prepared, plan ahead, which is the opposite of what The Knowing requires.

My knowing was very clear once I left Hawaii, that I would be back, I just didn’t know when. The Knowing showed me that it is time to return.

After our recent pregnancy loss, my partner and I knew what needed to happen. We needed to go back to Hawaii. We didn’t even have to say a word to each other, the knowing was screaming to us both.

I thought we would adventure around the world and live a certain life, and after several journey’s with my oversoul, I realized that was a life from my ego.

My ego had a really hard time letting go of this one. I liked the idea of traveling the world and sharing that with my family and others.

My oversoul showed me that my ego has a huge attachment to places and things. My ego likes the identity of it all.

I knew I had to understand this more so I went into my Akashic records. I asked for the books on letting go, and what I found changed me.

It showed me that all my external things (books, decks, clothes, etc) were all parts of my external identity. I never truly embodied these parts of myself.

I studied them, but never trusted myself enough to listen. I needed the external reminders of my practices because I wasn’t truly living in them.

After this journey, I realize that I have my soul library, the library of my highest self, my ancestors, guides, angels, these are the teachings that books won’t ever teach me. These soul books are sacred channels and contain everything I need.

My oversoul told me it’s time to let go.

We have had to say goodbye to our baby, animals, possessions, identities, financial securities, in order to be in our knowing, and that is terrifying.

We had so many dreams, goals and plans, but they were connected to our egos and not with our highest self or our soul family.

It is time to let that go.

With this move, we won’t be bringing most of our things. We will be coming back with only two suitcases each.

Letting go of so many things and a certain way of being that has been a huge part of me.

The path of the knowing will require you to let go. It will require you to shut down your ego, and it will require acceptance and surrender to life as an unfold.

The knowing doesn’t have a plan it has a path and sometimes you will stray away from it. That is ok, because sometimes that journey gives you clarity on your true calling. The knowing doesn’t make sense because it’s beyond the 3D, it is beyond our physical things.

This is the way, The Knowing

And it has never felt more aligned. I knew Scotland would hold massive significance for me and it did.

I hope you can connect to your path of the knowing, even in face of fear, death and transition.

Litha, or the Summer Solstice, marks the longest day of the year and is a key celebration in many pagan traditions. It falls around June 20-22 in the Northern Hemisphere. This festival honors the peak of the sun’s power and the abundance of the earth.

Central to Litha is the mythic battle between the Oak King and the Holly King. The Oak King, representing light and growth, and reigns from Yule to Litha.

At Litha, the Holly King, symbolizing darkness and introspection, defeats the Oak King, marking the shift toward shorter days and the darker half of the year.

Even though today is about honoring the light, the days going forward are all about the darkness.

Leaning into darkness isn’t about negativity, it’s about acknowledging and integrating all aspects of our existence.

Often we resist darkness and are more accepting of our light. I like to think of our darkness as our human perspective and our light as our souls lens. Our light and dark are one and the same. Our victim and warrior are the same person. Each wouldn’t be here without the other. Each makes up our cosmic blueprint for our journey on earth. We have to meet ourselves with compassion and work together as a multidimensional team.

Self love is not a relationship with the wounded and the healer. They are both equal in our existence. The work requires a witnessing of our parts and loving both the same. Not judging but staying curious about what each needs.

When we become a witness to life and its season/cycles we become attuned to our highest self and souls timeline. Use this day to honor both parts and remember that even darkness is apart of our souls mission here.

Ways to celebrate Litha include:

Bonfires and Fire Rituals: Lighting bonfires symbolizes the sun’s power and can be used for purification and protection.

Sunrise Watching: Greet the sun at dawn to honor its peak.

Nature Walks: Spend time outdoors, appreciating the earth’s abundance.

Flower Crowns: Make and wear flower crowns, symbolizing the beauty and fertility of summer.

Herb Gathering: Collect herbs at their peak potency for magical or medicinal use.

Blessed Beltane 🌼🌷

Beltane, celebrated on May 1st, marks the midway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere. It’s a joyous festival in the pagan and Wiccan traditions, honoring fertility, growth, and the vibrant energy of the season.

One common way to celebrate Beltane is by lighting bonfires, which represent the returning warmth and light of the sun. People often dance around these fires, leaping over flames as a symbol of purification and renewal. Additionally, decorating homes and outdoor spaces with flowers, particularly May blossoms like hawthorn and bluebells, is customary, signifying the blossoming of new life and love.

Another way to honor Beltane is by participating in rituals that focus on fertility and abundance. This can include planting seeds or flowers in a garden, symbolizing the nurturing of new beginnings and growth. Many also gather with loved ones for feasts and gatherings, enjoying seasonal foods like fresh fruits, honey, and grains. Beltane is ultimately about embracing the energy of the season and connecting with nature and community in joyful celebration.

The Maypole, adorned with colorful ribbons and flowers, stands as a focal point for festivities, symbolizing the intertwining of life and the fertility of the land. Dancing around the Maypole in intricate patterns is a cherished tradition, symbolizing the weaving together of community bonds and the vibrant energy of spring.

How are you going to celebrate Beltane today?! 🌼🌷

Full Moon in Scorpio 🖤

Anyone else feeling all the feels?!

This might be one of my favorite breastfeeding photos ever💛 and it makes me really emotional.

We are feeding in the same room that Mary Queen of Scot’s ate her food. There is something so special about connecting to her energy and his. She was such a powerful feminine energy in a world where men held all the power and control. To be raising a son inspired by her is a beautiful thing.

Mary never had the opportunity to fully breastfeeding her son. She had a role of mothering an entire country.
Even though Mary used a wet nurse shorty after birth, she kept James crib beside her bed to protect him. They would be separated when James was just over a year old and she would never see him again.

As I feed my son, here, in this place, I can’t help but feel gratitude for the life we are living. I have the privilege of safety and connection. We get to share this time and intimacy. I feel grateful for my bodies in the ability it has to birth and sustain life.

I want to leave you with this poem, like a queen sitting on her thrown, our chair.

OUR CHAIR

I know we are here a lot mama,
together in this chair
but right now I don’t want to be
anywhere but here

It’s warm, and it’s familiar,
yet every moment is new
little building blocks
of the safety that is you

I won’t recall these memories
these nights of you and me,
how when I cry out again, and again
it’s your beautiful face I see

But your soothing will be my song,
your skin will be my home
This belonging will always live in my heart
even when I’m alone

Your voice shines through the darkness
as you lift me to your embrace,
my little hands search for you,
as you wipe tears from my face

One day our nights won’t look like this,
one day you’ll set me down
I’ll never sleep on you again,
with no chair to be found

The chair will become your arms,
or the comfort of your smile
The chair will become your voice on the phone
that I’ve missed hearing for a while

So for now mama, please hold me close
back and forth together,
I may not remember our chair
but I’ll carry these moments forever.

In Celtic pagan history, the solar eclipse carried profound symbolism, intricately woven into the fabric of their spiritual beliefs.

Central to their understanding was the concept of the death and rebirth cycle, mirrored in the celestial dance of the sun and the moon during an eclipse. The eclipse represented a moment of cosmic transformation, where the old order dissolved to make way for the new.

As the sun momentarily vanished, it signified the death of the old year or phase, ushering in a period of darkness and introspection. Yet, amidst this apparent darkness, the promise of rebirth lingered, foreshadowed by the blooming of flowers and the renewal of life that followed.

One prominent goddess associated with the solar eclipse in Celtic mythology is the powerful Cerridwen, revered as the guardian of the cauldron of knowledge and inspiration. As the eclipse unfolded, Cerridwen’s presence was felt, guiding souls through the journey of death and rebirth. She was the weaver of destiny, orchestrating the cosmic rhythms of life and death with her profound wisdom.

Like the eclipse itself, Cerridwen embodied the dual nature of existence, embracing both the darkness of the void and the light of new beginnings. In her realm, every ending was a prelude to a new beginning, and every death a gateway to rebirth.

Rituals associated with Lugh, the god of light and skill, and Arianrhod, the Welsh goddess of the moon and the stars. These rituals aimed to harness the potent energies of the eclipse for divination, healing, and spiritual renewal, as well as to seek guidance from the divine realms.

Amidst the cosmic spectacle of the eclipse, the blooming of flowers served as a poignant reminder of the eternal cycle of life. In Celtic tradition, flowers symbolized the delicate balance between fragility and resilience, beauty and impermanence. As the sun emerged from behind the shadow of the moon, the landscape burst forth with vibrant hues, celebrating the triumph of life over death.

The blooming flowers whispered tales of resilience and renewal, echoing the ancient wisdom of the Celtic people who found solace and hope in the cyclical dance of the heavens.
