Hi friends,
If you know me, you know I’m pretty passionate when it comes to harm reduction and meeting people where they're at. One of the biggest things that’s helped keep me 9 months free from fentanyl has been educating myself. Not just about substances, but about many different aspects that affect our communities today.
I’m also on Sublocade, a once-a-month, long-acting injectable form of buprenorphine used to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). It's been part of my healing, and part of my journey.
With all that said, I’m incredibly proud (and slightly anxious) to share that I’ll be presenting a workshop I’ve been working a little while on
The topic?
Substances vs Alcohol Access
It’s not always an easy conversation. It might even feel uncomfortable. But that’s okay. Because discomfort can be a sign we’re being challenged to think differently.. and that’s exactly what harm reduction calls us to do.
This workshop is about starting conversations, raising awareness, and chipping away at stigma, one layer at a time. I would love if you could join me. 💜
