Going back home: Balancing Tradition & Wellness 🌟

I visit my home country every so often and with the visits comes the joy of returning home and indulging in the comforting flavors we've missed. 🍲✨ Finding the right balance between savoring the local delights and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge, but it's all about mindful choices and a touch of creativity. Here's how I navigate my culinary journey:

Create a Tasting Wishlist: 📜✨ Before starting my trip, I make a list of must-try local treats and my mom's dishes. This way, I can prioritize my favorites, do not attack on every option that comes into my mind and savor each bite without feeling overwhelmed.

Mindful Portions: 🍽️💚 Instead of loading up on large portions, I opt for smaller servings of various dishes. This way, I get to enjoy a variety without overindulging.

Remember, a visit to home creates lasting memories, and that includes savoring the flavors of home. Enjoy the time with fmily and friends, embrace the moments, and make conscious choices that nourish both body and soul. 🌟💖

Walking is not just a physical activity for me but it also has a positive impact on my mental health. A walk, especially in nature, reduces the stress and anxiety symptoms, improves the mood, and increases the overall well-being.
