🌿Earth Spirit Herbal Apprenticeship✨
In-person, in Lake Mills, WI

A monthly gathering for folks looking to deepen relationship with self, nature and community…centering mother earth and healing plants.

We will spend a great deal of time outdoors, foraging wild plants and getting to know medicinal herbs in the farm gardens. We will learn (and do) best practices for harvesting, processing and medicine making in the farm kitchen.

I will be weaving in functional health coaching concepts (as related to herbal medicine) for healthy living and facilitating guided meditation/embodiment practices for nervous system regulation and deep healing (a little bit about me and my background/training can be found below).

We will use Marysia Miernowska's book,
The Witch's Herbal Apothecary-Rituals & Recipes for a Year of Earth Magick and Sacred Medicine Making, as a companion.

This offering is for a small group of 5-10 people, meeting in-person, one Saturday per month, for 6 months (April-September).

The cost is $88 per gathering. This includes the book and all herbs we use as part of the apprenticeship. There will be light reading in between the monthly gatherings and optional medicine making projects.

About Tasha:
I've been working with plants for going on 20 years. First as an Aromatherapist and then later as an herb grower/farmer. I completed the Herbal Immersion program with Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, and continue my herbal learning with Herbal Academy and jim mcdonald. I most recently completed Level I training in functional health coaching with the Integrative Health Practitioner Institute.

I'm a Reiki Master Practitioner and Licensed Massage Therapist of 22 years. Providing healing sessions and consultations professionally has been my life’s work, and is/has been most rewarding and fulfilling. I've done training in Healing Touch as part of the Aromatherapy training with the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy and personal development work with Ancestral Medicine and 8 Shields/Living Connection 1st, among others.

I started expanding my offerings, holding space for groups in 2022, facilitating seasonal herbal healing retreats and soundbath meditations.

Wild spring “weeds” offer so much more than just nutritional support. They gently support digestive, lymphatic and elimination processes as well.

🍃 Violets have a wide range of medicinal uses, many of which have been evidenced through modern research. Violets are used to support systemic health via their lymphatic and alterative effects.

🪏 Burdock, in addition to being a staple food (root), is a traditional remedy for treating inflammatory conditions due to its purifying and eliminative properties.

☀️ Dandelion is a beginner friendly digestive, liver and kidney support that can effectively reduce skin inflammations and arthritis and improve liver, bile and kidney functions.

💦 Cleavers supports the lymphatic system and is used for relieving all manner of congestion in the body.

These herbs work gently, yet effectively to support a wide-range of body systems. Some act directly on organs/systems while others may work more broadly throughout the body.

We’ll dig 🪏 deeper into each herb, learning the how and why, during the Herbal Apprenticeship beginning Saturday April 18th.

The apprenticeship meets in-person, on the farm, once per month.

Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food
- Hippocrates

Did you know, research shows wild foods are far more nutrient dense than their cultivated relatives, pound for pound?

The Herbal Apprenticeship begins April 18th, and will focus on plants which support health as both food and medicine.

This apprenticeship is NOT about herbal medicine in the clinical sense. Yes, we will learn how plants can support our healing, BUT

the foundation of health is in the choices we make everyday . . . the foods we eat, how well we hydrate, how we move (or don't move) our body, what thoughts we cultivate, how we manage stress, ect...

The Herbal Apprenticeship is all about health foundations. Join me 1 Saturday/month, on the farm, immersed in earth/plant healing.

I've been approached by a couple of folks who are interested in a (in-person) herbal Apprenticeship.

I am putting feelers out there to see if there is interest. This would be an offering for a small group of people.

I'm leaning toward a once/ month gathering (likely on a Saturday afternoon for 5 hours) over the course of no less than 6 months, but possibly right up to the end of the year. We would start in spring (mid-April) and carry through until fall equinox or winter solstice.

In addition to learning about individual herbs and medicine making, this will include learning foraging skills and opportunities to get into the herb gardens here on the farm.

We will use Marysia Miernowska's book,
The Witch's Herbal Apothecary-Rituals & Recipes for a Year of Earth Magick and Sacred Medicine Making, as a companion.

The cost would be ~$88 per gathering. This includes the book and all herbs we use as part of the apprenticeship. There would be light reading in between the monthly gatherings and optional medicine making projects.
