PT Nugget Series: Top 5 Things I Tell My Patients.☑️

1. Motion is lotion.🕺
Your body is built to move. Gentle, consistent movement keeps joints healthy and tissues happy.😜

2. Healing takes time.🕒
Most things take about three months to heal. 📆 Rest, hydration, nutrition, sleep, and stress management are
part of the plan—not optional.

3. Consistency beats perfection.
A little movement 🧘🏼‍♂️most days wins. Think “Exercise Snacks”—short bouts that add up. I love simple, but impactful, exercises like squats, clamshells, bridges, and single-leg balance.

4. Pain doesn’t always mean stop.🛑
It usually means adjust. Learning what’s safe versus what’s harmful is key to recovery. 🔐

5. Healing isn’t linear. 📈
Ups, downs, flare-ups, and small setbacks happen. As long as the overall trend is upward, that’s
healing.🩹

It’s not about always being motivated — it’s about showing up for yourself even when you’re tired, busy, or not in the mood.

Whether it’s hopping on the bike, taking a short walk, or doing your home exercises — it doesn’t have to be perfect, long, or intense.
What matters is consistency.

To my friends and patients: find something that moves you — literally and figuratively — and commit to it. Even a few minutes a day can make a world of difference.
Your body will thank you. Your mind will too. 💪✨
