Can anyone else relate to this?
I know I can…
For years I tried to pretend that I could manage my unhealthy state on my own.

To be honest, I downright denied the fact that Obesity was a major contributor to Lupus taking charge of my trajectory.

When I looked in the mirror, I didn’t recognize the person I’d become and that just made it worse. 😞

Things just seemed to spiral out of control and my health deteriorated rapidly between 2015 & 2019

So badly that I could barely walk across the floor on my own. Most days my sweet husband would have to help.

I felt hopeLESS 😞

My kidneys were a mess, my liver enzymes were off the charts high… I battled inflammation in just about every major organ in my body. 😞

My joints and muscles hurt so bad… Sometimes if I’m being honest… I would ask my papa in Heaven to just take me home.
Anything was better than living like that. 😞

I pushed through those pain filled days only because of my love and Trust in Jesus & my absolute dedication and love for my Husband, Kids & Grandlittles. They are my Whys. ❤️

I tried however to appear that I was ok on the outside I did my best to hide my pain. 😞

The only thing I could not hide was the obvious… My weight. 232lbs. And growing.

One night I invited a friend over for Dinner. Obviously concerned, She slid a card across the table and said please call her.
Please do it for your Family and people that love you… 🤗

Y’all!
I’m grateful everyday that I made that call. Hope was delivered that day.☺️
I cried and cried as the person on the other end lovingly listened and understood my pain points. I knew I had to at least give this plan a shot. I had nothing else to lose…🙌

That call was to my Coach… I gave it 30 Days…
It took 13.5 months. But, I was Better!!!

For over 4 years now those days of angst and grief are memories, ones that I choose NOT TO FORGET! 🦋

I’m not perfect. I still have Lupus. But, I dropped that 110lbs like it was my job!
And I took my life back from the hands of the Enemy. 💥

I woke up! I took ownership of my choices,
I changed my thoughts and I’m working on my habits!
All while helping hundreds of others across the Nation do the same. ❤️

Up early, reflecting on how fast time can go by and all of the, ”Life” that happens within it. 54 years of Moments, Memories, Mistakes & Lessons.. LIFE!

YES! This life, the one I wasn’t supposed to have.

I remember that girl on the left... she was broken inside. She had faith but truth be told, fear was a constant companion.

She was told it couldn’t be done. “Go live your life”, They Said, “ make the best of it”, ... “go, Make Memories” they said. 😞

For the next year, she gave it all she had and prepared her heart for what they ,”Said” would be a rough journey ahead.

She was so so tired, yet still held on to HOPE. Somewhere some how God would show up.. because you know, He always does. And... HE DID!

In January of 2020 She set out on a 13 month Health Journey where she discovered how to feed her body well.

She learned about how proper water intake and nutrition really does become you. You truly are what you eat.

She also discovered that there were a few bad habits she picked up along the way and that she needed to have a few,”come to Jesus” moments about them.

She had to change her MIND about her choices. She had to change her mind and deal with her heart concerning how she handled negative emotions.

She learned that Stop, Challenge, choose was a thing! And that she was capable of choosing wisely.

She gave it all she had and pound by pound the weight came off.

She was given a second chance.

She kicked fear in the face!

She did the head and the HEARTwork required to live her best life!

Welp, Here she is… the girl on the right!
feeling amazing!

110lbs. Gone & she’s fighting for stronger with all her might.

She wouldn’t trade a single second of the journey.

I am absolutely blown away by how far I’ve come.

In the darkest moments of my battle… I had all but given up. I believed that I was in fact,”Broken”… I was tired! And I was SICK! I was literally,”SICK & TIRED”…

But Suddenly, God Showed up and reminded me of who HE is AND who He created me to be.

I went to work and kicked the enemy in the teeth!

I borrowed the belief of my heath coaches and here I am helping others FIGHT BACK!

Whoever you are, you’re out there watching and wondering if you can do what I did.

I’m here to tell you, Sister, Brother “GET UP!” Remember who you are and ,”WHO’s” you are! Borrow my belief and let me help you kick the enemy in the teeth!

I Love Christmas, it is and for as long as I can remember has been my absolute favorite holiday. Ask my kids we know how to ,"Do" Christmas. 🤶
When I was young it was about the bright lights, family visits, the guy in the red suit, Presents, and well just the overall Joy this time of year brings from a child's perspective. As I got older, I Came to know Jesus and had kids of my own and thus by Gods Grace Experienced wonderful Mommy feelings of both Elation and excitement as I witnessed that very same joy manifest in them. ☺️
I am a Grandmother now and I love watching my daughter pass along traditions that are so dear to my heart.

But, why are they so dear? Well,
I have come to realize that Traditions come from people that we are blessed to share our time here on earth with. They are the ones sent by God to teach us, love us and some to lead us. 🥹
This is a Bittersweet year for me, some of those precious ones of Christmas' past are spending It in Heaven without me, I miss them & I smile when I think of how beautiful it must be for them. 🥹
I find myself looking back and being so grateful for this journey and their deposits into my life that it is difficult to find the words... 🥹

So with that, I say through tears of both Joy and grief, Thank you Jesus, Thanks for the memories and I'll be seeing you... I’ll be seeing you in the eyes of my Children & my Grandchildren as I continue to share our cherished & Valued Christmas memories & Traditions.
You’ll live on in my heart until I’m called up too.
What a glorious reunion that will be. 🤗
