2025 Eating Disorders Awareness Week: A Look Back! 💛

Our amazing team and college ambassadors spent the week connecting with providers, communities, and campuses to raise awareness and foster support.

As we honor both National Eating Disorders Awareness Week and Black History Month, Cam John, Arise College Ambassador at NYU, sheds light on some of the systemic and social challenges Black individuals with eating disorders face, including barriers to equitable healthcare and the impact of anti-Black racism.

Community spaces and care that honor the intersections of race, culture, and ED recovery are essential for true healing. Let’s work toward a future where everyone has access to the inclusive, identity-affirming support they deserve. 💛

The holidays often come with expectations and stress, making it even more important to honor your needs and prioritize what feels right for you. This might mean communicating with your support system, creating new traditions that align with your values, or letting go of old ones that no longer serve you. It can also help to focus on meeting your basic needs—like staying hydrated, nourished, and rested.

Having a few tools and strategies ready can provide gentle guidance through the season. Feel free to revisit this post anytime and share any tips you’ve found helpful—we’re all in this together 💛
