BAYADA Habilitation in Pennsylvania provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live comfortably at home and stay active in their communities with independence and dignity. It is the education, support, and assistance to enable clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities to acquire, maintain, and improve skills related to activities of daily living in order to function as meaningfully and independently as possible in the community.

Aleah’s team of Home Health Aides and Client Services Managers from our Livingston, NJ office recently visited the Livingston Senior Center to share how BAYADA can support seniors and their families during the holidays.

Together, we explored how a career in home care is built on compassion, dignity, and a sense of community. Our Racial and Ethnic Diversity (R.E.D.) Employee Resource Council leaders Ayesha, Naomi, Tatyana, Justin, and Emily, along with BAYADA Chief of Staff Eric Thul, had the privilege of attending UrbanPromise’s Night of Promise. The evening was a moving celebration of hope, education, and community impact, featuring inspiring performances by UrbanPromise youth, heartfelt stories of resilience, and a call to action that energized supporters to advance their mission.

Our R.E.D. leaders left inspired and look forward to continuing our collaboration with UrbanPromise in our shared mission to cultivate belonging, empowerment, and opportunity through community partnerships that uplift diverse voices.

Today marks an exciting new chapter in BAYADA’s journey.

We are proud to announce that Bryony Winn has been appointed the next Chief Executive Officer of BAYADA Home Health Care. Bryony will join us on March 2, 2026, becoming the first non-family member to lead our organization in its 50-year history.

With a career dedicated to improving how the health system works for individuals, families, and caregivers, Bryony brings deep expertise in tackling some of healthcare’s most complex challenges—from access and affordability to equity, outcomes, and frontline support. Most recently, she served as President of Carelon Health, part of Elevance Health, leading more than 8,500 associates serving nearly 100 million Americans nationwide. She has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the Top Women Leaders in Healthcare and named among Pearl Health’s Top 50 Value-Based Care Thinkers.

As Bryony steps into this role, David Baiada will conclude his remarkable eight-year tenure as CEO by joining the BAYADA Board of Directors and serving as senior advisor to the incoming CEO.

On Monday, BAYADA and Rowan University came together to officially launch a first-of-its-kind workforce development partnership designed to build and upskill the nursing workforce across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This new collaboration directly addresses the region’s projected shortage of more than 24,000 nurses by 2036, creating a debt-free, accessible pathway for aspiring and current caregivers to advance their education through Rowan’s accredited nursing programs.

Beginning January 2026, the inaugural Advance to LPN cohort will benefit from:
✨ Tuition reimbursement through BAYADA’s loan repayment program upon graduation
✨ Flexible, high-quality coursework through Rowan University and Rowan College of South Jersey
✨ Personalized coaching and a clear academic pathway from home health aide to LPN
✨ Expert support transitioning into clinical practice through BAYADA’s nationally accredited Nurse Residency Program

Did you know that October is Fire Prevention Month? Here's some tips from the American Red Cross to keep you and your loved ones safe!:

❗Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas.
❗Test smoke alarms every month. If they’re not working, change the batteries.
❗Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
❗If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP. Never go back inside for anything or anyone.
