In the health and fitness world, we talk a lot about nutrition and exercise. But what often isn’t a focus are ALL the pillars of your health that make you healthy.

What are the things that light you up?
What are the things that set your soul on fire?
What brings you joy?
Who are the people that you surround yourself with? Do they lift you up or bring you down?

Detoxing and having a healthier life in 2024 means more than a cleanse and a diet .

It means detoxing from negativity.
It means having a strict energy diet.
And letting go of the “hustle” if it’s destroying your health.

It means taking time for you & doing the things you love while finding your tribe, and never forgetting to have fun.

Beyond nutrition, laughter, gratitude, and joy are great medicine for your health after all!

Health isn't just about the numbers at your yearly check up, although those are very important! They can be motivating factors but I know for me, the thing that drives my efforts the most are the adventures that I want to go on that require a healthy body in order to fully enjoy and successfully complete.

I want to:
Climb mountains
Carry heavy packs
Cross rivers
Hunt into old age
Keep up with my kids
Reel in Marlin

The list goes on but the point remains, if I'm not healthy internally and strong in all areas such as stability, overall strength and endurance then I'm not going to be able to perform and enjoy these adventures to the max.

Many things can be motivating for us to do the work to maintain and improve our health and fitness but finding the thing that motivates you even when you are not feeling it in the moment can keep you moving forward.

I always have some adventure on the horizon that is in the back of my mind and driving me to do the things that will make me successful when it comes.

Surrounding yourself with really good people who lift you up and challenge you is really important for your health.

Having a support system of people who motivate and inspire you impacts the decisions you make in life.

You will either be brought down or lifted up to the level of those you keep company with.

There's nothing special about January 1st.

The calendar is just something created by people to keep track of time.

In reality, you just have a set number of days that you are alive and on January 1st you will have a few days less than you have today.

Don't think of your health and fitness in regards to the calendar.

Think about your health and fitness in regards to the days you have left to enjoy it.

You could be getting healthier today and tomorrow and the next day.

January 1st is not magical.

The magic comes when you realize every day is just as important as January 1st.
