Sooo many amazing humans tell me that they don't want to go to the audition because:
-they don't think they are perfectly ready
-their skills aren't perfect yet
-they don't think they have perfect material
-they've been out of lessons for a little while

JUST GO. Trust yourself and go! The honest truth is: panels are jazzed to see you IN GROWTH. It is so satisfying to watch someone come in and do their very best! Panels aren't looking for perfection. And, they love seeing how much you've improved since they last saw you. Mega bonus points for that!

So let them see you. You aren't as behind or un-ready as you think. Release the idea that 'this is my one shot. I need to be perfect or they'll never see me again'. It is FAR from your one shot. You will not be unwelcome to audition again if you are imperfect! Let that thought go NOW.

Bring your best work as of today, your best attitude and your most authentic self. That's more fun to watch than perfection, anyway.

Just because it's the loudest thought, doesn't mean it's the truest thought. In fact, I guarantee that the loud thought is not a complete picture of reality.

The inner critic is loud, harsh, and feels like tension in your body. The inner critic runs behind you all day, tapping you on your shoulder, chatting in your ear.

The inner coach feels like a kind whisper; like calm in your body. The inner coach stays in their seat, and waits for you to come to them.

Our brains tend to default to what's familiar. If the inner critic is always there, being loud, our brain will take the short-cut, and take what the critic is saying as truth.

There's always another perspective. What does your wise self have to say about what's going on? Check in with them right now.

The quickest way to NOT get where you want is to let the inner critic be in the driver's seat of your life.

You are allowed to choose your thoughts. Work with me to learn how to take responsibility for choosing the thoughts that will actually serve you and guide you toward what you most deeply want. Mindset is everything.
