PREGNANCY TIPS:
1. Help build the nursery for your partner
2. Provide extra help with household chores, cooking, etc.
3. Attend appointments with your partner
4. Accept the pregnancy pillow
5. Attend prenatal classes with your partner
6. Be prepared to shoulder more than just your normal responsibilities and be positive in doing so
7. Help with shopping, putting stuff together, etc.
8. Get hands on with massages, foot rubs, neck rubs
BIRTHING TIPS:
1. Help your partner focus - On breathing, making eye contact with you, whatever they need to focus on to get through the pain
2. Allow them to lean on you and use you for support in finding comfortable positions
3. Provide words of encouragement - “You can do this,” “You’re getting closer and closer with every push,” “You’re so strong!”
4. Give them sips of water, wipe their tears/sweat, provide pressure in areas of pain/discomfort
5. Make your partner laugh
6. Keep your demeanor calm - Your partner will feed off you!
