Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month | 1–31 March
March marks Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month — an important opportunity to raise awareness of a disease that affects over 7,000 women in the UK each year. Sadly, two-thirds of cases are diagnosed at a late stage, when treatment can be more challenging. Survival rates have not improved in the past decade — and that needs to change.
Ovarian cancer symptoms can be vague and are often mistaken for other conditions. Please be aware of:
Persistent bloating
Ongoing tummy or pelvic pain
Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
Changes in urinary habits (needing to go more urgently or more often)
If you are experiencing these symptoms frequently and persistently, it’s important to seek advice.
