Now we are aiming for excellence!

I would like to invite you to a free soft belly meditation.

It is so easy to fall out of practice with our regular meditation as life gets busy and overwhelming. As one of my skills and my purpose I am here to support you in making this part of your day to improve your life and wellbeing.

The benefits of the soft belly meditation are:

- Regulate nervous system
- Activate vagus nerve
- Promote digestion
- Decrease stress
- Increase clarity of the mind
- Improve creativity

Hmmm I'm feeling like I need to post something because its been ages since I've posted on this page.

So I am sat here thinking what is it that I really want to say? What is the running theme for health and wellness this week?

Well, my running theme for both myself and the clients that I have worked with this particular week is...

Moderation
&
Intuition

So many people I know and work with are constantly doing something to reduce discomfort, increase wellbeing and feel a sense of productivity... ie fulfilliment... ie MEANING.

While I completely understand and advocate for exploration, curiosity, trying new things and a desire for growth and transformation

it is so so important to remember to...

Listen to yourself, listen to your inner guidance, listen to your intution.

We can find research studies and testimonies that are for and against almost anything and everything. These forever changing chemical bodies we have are constantly altering so we have to listen deeply to what feels right for us.

Listen to your intuition, research and learn but listen to youself about what fits and dont think you have to go all in.

So whether its keto, plant based, macro, intermittant fasting, HIIT training, gentle training, more journalling, meditation, breathwork, yoga.... The list goes on...

If there is a change in behaviour that you are trying to achieve, maybe a gentle moderate approach is the one that is more sustainable in the long run.

***Disclaimer
Though I understand for those of us that have experienced trauma of sorts (everyone) that our 'gut' or our inner voice disguised as inuition may still be in trauma response and not feeding back accurate information if we havent unravelled it yet.

This I will follow up in a another post.

For now, intuition and listening to your inner guidance is what I would like to leave you with and perhaps moderation will work for you.

I am looking for people who are interested in being part of an online 8 week group wellbeing program - just 2 hours a week.

This program is anchored in the latest science, research and evidence founded by Harvard-educated psychiatrist and clinical professor Dr James Gordon.

We will be working on the mind body connection, creating a safe space, using the latest techniques and modalities to support all of our wellbeing. At the core is self-awareness, self-care, and group support to heal population-wide psychological trauma.

Having a high cardio-respiratory fitness level that is considered to be elite compared to cardio respiratory fitness of below average reduces your risk of all cause mortality by 5 FOLD.

All cause mortality being death from anything!

Thats a 5 x reduction in risk of death from anything just by having a high level of cardio fitness

and

a 3 FOLD reduction in all cause mortality when you compare high strength to low strength.

MOST BENEFIT COMES TO YOU WHEN YOU GO FROM BEING NOT FIT AT ALL TO AVERAGE FIT

"that gives you 3 of the 5 fold" in reduction of all causes death.

As someone who has worked in physicl activity for the benefit of public health I think its a great reminder to keep ourselves moving, knowing every little bit counts!
