Having trouble juggling it all ? Work, kids, spouse, friends, errands ? Finding it difficult to schedule self care / me time ? Try creating a buddy system with family or friends. The phrase “it takes a village” couldn’t be more true ! Helping one another can free up time for self care and improve health on all levels in addition to fulfilling acts of love and kindness for our loved ones ! Some ideas for the buddy system are below !
• take turns cooking for your buddy’s families to allow an evening of free time for meditation, relaxation, stress reduction, etc
• take turns running errands for one another
• take turns watching each other’s kids for a play date to free up time !
• Carpool kids to activities or each other to work.
• Walk your buddy’s dog or care for their pet for a day
Don’t be afraid to ask each other for help ! We are only human and there are only so many hours in a day but that doesn’t mean we should put our health last because we can’t find the time … creating a buddy system helps everyone !
