Organ donation after medical assistance in dying is the donation of organs after death that is medically assisted (MAiD). Both are expressions of human autonomy.

The Transplant Waiting List moved as though it had a motor on it CNN reported a 24-fold increase in organ transplants from drug overdoses at the height of the Opioid Crisis from 2000-2016.

Drug distribution networks trafficked opioids throughout New Hampshire New England devastating families and entire communities.
The increase in the incidence of overdose-related deaths, specifically from fentanyl, has resulted in many organ donations.
More than 42,000 of those deaths involved some type of opioid, the most common being illicit drugs like he**in and black-market
fentanyl. Today as of Sept 2023 we're now seeing that the use of fentanyl together with stimulants like co***ne & m**h proving to be an even deadlier combination.

'One Pill Kills' town hall on Wednesday to share frightening stats
about the growing dangers of fentanyl and other opioids.

The D.E.A. reports a dramatic increase in the number of fake pills
containing at least two milligrams of fentanyl, enough to be considered a lethal dose.

Six out of every ten pills tested by the D.E.A contains that potentially lethal level,
and in the year 2022, enough fentanyl was recovered to kill
every man, woman and child in the United States.

The Jefferson County D.A., Sheriff's Office, and Beaumont Police held the 'One Pill Kills' town hall to share stats about the growing dangers of fentanyl.
