YA'LL STAY SAFE OUT THERE!
MESSAGE FOR THE PEOPLE OF AUSTIN
SAVE A LIFE, Hoodies wanted! It's dang frozen on the streets of Austin. Last night was deathly cold. Tonight will be colder.
Let's all get out there and do something for someone else today. You might save a finger, a toe, a hand, a foot, a leg, an arm or YOU MIGHT SAVE A LIFE!
People if you have hot food, bedding, a tent, warm clothing, gloves, socks, boots, hoodies, sleeping bags, blankets, hand warmers, gloves...BRING THEM TO THE STREETS, hand them to someone or just pull up and open your trunk.
People have been forced to hide by the bully police. APD bad cops told people to get "out of sight, out of mind."
So the City now has an emergency duty to take care of people that they evicted, criminalized for poverty, disability and/or skin color. The City of Austin, Inc., EMS, AFD, HOST, APD and all their contractors and agents have an emergency duty to find the people they are hiding and give them life-saving resources immediately. If they deny their duty someone needs to pay for the negligent and purposeful genocide of "Austin's Homeless" as they call us.
It's up to us when the City and the Wealthy do nothing or little to nothing.
The City's Cold Weather shelters are here (call 512-972-5055), tell and if you can take people that want to escape. The City is not going to do their duty, it's up to you. More info here: https://www.austintexas.gov/alerts
All the Rec Centers should be warming shelters during the day. Some are at night. Here's the map to warming centers::

The bus should be free and should get you there to the Cold Weather Shelters or the Warming Centers listed above.
Also we cooked soup and rice yesterday and got clothing donated by the awesome Treasure City Thrift Store on east 7th. And then went out late last night and fed many people on the East Side of Austin.
It was very cold out there. And we even got stalked by one cop.
