Had a beautiful homebirth the other night together & one last week. Two more coming this month until Emily has her own baby. Love working along these three 🩵

So happy to be featured on my cousin, Danielle Jackson and her work partner, Laurel Gourrier’s podcast. What an honor it was to share my story with these wonderful women!✨🫶🏾

Their podcast is a safe platform for Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latino and Multiracial individuals to share their birthing experiences - a space that specifically celebrates, mourns with and supports them and their transformation through birth.

Birth doula and student-midwife, Trinity Stephens, is serving the Southwestern Ohio birthing community at an early age. She's 17 years old but has been a birth worker for four years. She completed her initial training with her Aunt Rhonda and has continued to build her skills and garner further education through training and hands-on work with local midwives.

Sometimes babies need a little help at home too. This sweet boy needed a little added support as he transitioned Earthside. His father instinctively partnered with me and straightened his airway so I could help get him started.✨ His mother rubbed his foot as she held him close. After just a few inflation breaths, we all felt joy as his mighty voice filled the room!

Keeping the baby’s cord intact - and with their mother - is the standard during resuscitation.
