Screen Time Overload During School Break: Protect Your Child’s Eyes

School break = more screen time. Too much gadget use strains your child’s eyes, causing headaches, dryness, and blurry vision.

Encourage the 20-20-20 rule, outdoor breaks, and device-free family time.

If your child shows signs of eye strain, schedule an eye exam.

A PUBLIC ADVISORY FROM THE PHILIPPINE ACADEMY OF OPHTHALMOLOGY: Beware of unproven eye medicine, eye drops, and eye devices that are being peddled as a cure-all or prevention of different eye conditions. Consult your ophthalmologist for the proper care of your eyes.

With warmest regards-!

Holiday Eye Safety: Fireworks, Party Sprays, and Toy-Related Injuries

Holiday fun comes with eye risks! Fireworks, party sprays, and sharp toys can cause serious eye injuries—especially in children.

Keep a safe distance from fireworks, avoid pointing party sprays toward the face, and choose age-appropriate toys.

👉 If an eye injury happens, seek immediate care from your ophthalmologist.
