Cancer, COVID-19, and Early Detection” – Dr. James Goydos, M.D., F.A.C.S.

The coronavirus has wreaked havoc on the globe. While many of the pandemic’s impacts have been widely covered, there are some aspects of the novel virus which have gone underreported. Cancer diagnosis is one of these areas which have been impacted but largely unspoken.

Throughout the pandemic, many individuals have delayed or chosen to not attend cancer screening out of fear of potential exposure to the virus, or simply being unable to access a healthcare provider. This means many potential cancers are going undiagnosed, or are being diagnosed later.

Our Beca’s Care Program provides financial resources to families going through a devastating diagnosis of Stage III/IV metastatic Melanoma.

We offer financial assistance to help pay for such things as medical bills, transportation to and from doctor appointments, utilities, or groceries. We want you to focus on your healthcare, not your bills.

The families that are being supported by our program become part of our Blackout Melanoma family. We are with you, to not only provide financial support but emotional support as well.

Beca would always say, “Together we can educate, together we can provide hope, and together we can save lives.”

Visit our website to learn more and to find out how you can apply for a grant. Our current giving cycle closes December 1st.
