This whole thing isn’t only an adjustment for me but it’s also an adjustment for my family. I dont recall anyone checking on my children and fiancé. A simple “hey how you doing” is free. It’s quick and painless. My mom. I don’t recall anyone reaching out to her but sh*t….imagine your child losing their mobility and you can’t do anything about it. it makes me sad that no one checks on them foreal but they’ve literally turned into Jr caretakers. That’s how I feel.

Today I got bold and stood up while holding Lilo. It’s been months since I held one of our cats while walking. Today was the day I decided to try. Lilo had been on my lap for a long time. I had to use the bathroom and she wasn’t trying to move foreal. So I decided to adjust her in my arms like a baby and stand. I stood for like 30 seconds before I took my first step. Every thing was cool. Took the second step and down goes Frazier. I KNEW I was about to fall but I still can’t break my falls.

My chin hit the wall and I fell into the washing machine and then hit the ground. I WANTED to cry but instead I yelled for Kennedy. She isn’t feeling too well so it took a few tries to get me off the floor.

I made a joke when Ken asked me what happened but my heart shattered. The first time this happened was when I came home from the hospital the first time. S**t, the mark is still there. But I told myself I’d be careful so that it won’t happen again and it did today. All while trying to simply hold Lilo and walk with her.

I haven’t slept in our bed. It’s super tough getting upstairs. Tim has been sleeping down here with me. I’m grateful for a wonderful partner. I enjoy watching him sleep because he does soooo much. Like a lot! Yesterday I asked him to get me something from our room. He jumped up to do it and then his legs gave out. I truly wish I could do more around here. I’m just extremely grateful. He isn’t obligated to go through this heavy storm but he’s been here every step of the way.

My grandma sang me happy birthday. My mom came over and made pancakes! I got balloons, flowers, birthday cards, calls, FaceTimes, text etc and it’s not even noon yet. So far so good ❤️
