I was recently talking to a new client about losing weight while perimenopausal.

Back when I first got started I had no idea that most people didn't know how to lose weight. Most don't understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods. They don't know how to count calories or what a serving size is.

When I first met Jessie she was trying to lose 20 pounds while just beginning perimenopause. She had tried Keto, WW, Intermittent Fasting, and more.

None of those had worked for her and now she was entering an especially difficult time to lose weight: perimenopause and beyond. So now what?

Well, now she is well on her way to losing that 20 lbs. She's also feeling better and has way more energy. But how did she do it?

I have a plan that works whether you are 20 or 70, but I especially cater to those of that age where perimenopause hits and women already have too much going on that they just want simple and accomplishable.

I struggle with this regarding some things.

It takes a constant reminder to myself to think I can instead of thinking I can't.

If you want to do something, do whatever it takes to believe you can do it so that you will succeed.

I use positive affirmations when something seems out of reach.

Hey, I'm over here now. At Ignite Optimism! I'll be doing all of my posting from there so jump ship and join me. I'm still a health coach and personal trainer...just focus is a little different now and we are set on GO!

A little luck never hurts, but it's not about luck.

I see pennies all the time when I'm out for walk/runs on the streets around town. Sometimes I can easily see they are on heads, but I don't take time to stop and pick them up for luck.

We have to make our own luck. And by that I mean, we have to be tough.

If you have a plan to follow that you know will create success, then your luck is that you found that plan...no matter if you paid top dollar for it, or got it for free. YOU HAVE THE PLAN!

What you do with that plan is all up to you. Take it and run with it, or wallow slowly. But do it. There will be tough days. There will be times you want to give up, but don't.

Stick to it! You can do whatever you set your mind to.
